The latest release on Alan Dixon’s Love Attack Records comes from Egypt’s Misty. A sound that speaks volumes of emotions, coupled with hypnotic percussive textures is what Misty brings to the table as an artist. His musical productions focus on his love for rhythmic movements of bass and percussions to provide a worldly take on deep house and techno music aimed at merging cultures apart, and has led to him being labelled as ‘one of the main artists to keep an eye for in 2018’ by WhenWeDip Magazine.
 
Here, he delivers two original tracks for post-pandemic audiences who are well and truly ready to get back out and party. Canada’s Andrew Shier delivers the vocal on the lead track with Belgium’s Vhyce (Pets/AEON/Future Disco) on remix duties.

Misty 'Things EP'

Fresh from the release of Kelton Prima's sensational rework of ’Too Funky’, that has been lighting up the spring dancefloors, we turn the lights on the glitterball once again as we welcoming Malta’s, AP, to Alan Dixon’s burgeoning Love Attack imprint.

His ‘Mood To Dance’ EP is peak time disco aimed squarely at the dance floor. In AP’s own words “Whilst making Mood To Dance, I have tried to merge two of my favourite genres, Disco House and Italo Disco. Made purposefully for my sets I am so happy to finally share the tunes just in time for festival season.”

Three glistening slices of dancefloor fun, from the firing lasers and chic riffs of 'Mood To Dance' to the thumping kick and skittish horns of ‘Ready To Love’ via the rhythmic latin swing of ’Sao Paulo’.... After releasing on Paradiso Records and Midnight People, Remi Wanless drops his new EP on Love Attack. As an 80s enthusiast, Remi is influenced by bands such as Depeche Mode & Talking Heads and you can hear it in the neat synthwork and driving percussion in his productions. Playing an eclectic range of italo, disco and electro, he grew a passion for cosmic and otherworldly bleeps and arps that have all come together to formulate a production style that truly reflects his taste in music.

Carrying on trying to support talent from the North East of England I'm happy to welcome my friend Stephen Day to the Love Attack podcast. Many moons ago we actually shared a house together for a few years and then worked together at Ministry of Sound in Singapore where Stephen still lives to this day.

Stephen Day has been DJing for over 20 yrs and has held residencies in the UK at clubs such as Gatecrasher (Leeds) and ‘The Empire’ (Middlesbrough); as well as many clubs / festivals all over Asia including Ministry of Sound, Stereolab, SupperClub, Kudeta, Avalon, Kilo, Kyo, W Hotel, ULTRA Music Festival, Neon Lights Festival, Gatecrasher (Indonesia) Potato Head (Jakarta, SG) Zoukout and more. He has worked alongside reputable DJs such as Frankie Knuckles, Roger Sanchez, Boy George, Kenny Dope, David Morales, Dennis Ferrer, Danny Rampling, Supernova, Bottin, Late Nite Tuff Guy, Levon Vincent and Faze Action —to name a few. As a producer, he has released tracks on labels all around the world, namely ‘Large Records’ (Chicago) and ‘Seven Music’ (Ireland) Chronovision (Ibiza) & Plastik People (Uk)

London-based electronic duo LiiN, Neil Simons and Mal R have teamed up with Alan Dixon's Love Attack Records to create a EP of remixes taken from their new album ‘Fentanyl Flowers’. Ranging from introspective, kaleidoscopic and sometimes unnerving pieces to dance-floor ready tracks their music takes the listener through a variety of shimmering worlds.

Love Attack Podcast 002: REES

The second release on Alan Dixon’s Love Attack label comes from the man himself, delivering a dreamy new EP entitled 'Night Time Melodies’.

Following high-profile releases on Gerd Janson's Running Back and Jennifer Cardini's Correspondant, Alan moves to his deeper side kicking things off with ’Night Time Melodies’ - an infectious piano house workout that sees super-slick keys dance elegantly around a chuggy, bumping bassline and beautifully resonant synth licks. Once again demonstrating his unfaltering ability to craft alluring, feel-good dance music Alan offers up a slice of sun-drenched optimism.

The track also receives a groove-tinged remix from Kiko Navarro moving things into the main room. Punchy snares and shuffling hats set a footwork-provoking rhythm underneath energetic, stabbing piano chords, with Navarro gradually working in a delectable wobbling acid line ramping up the energy for a sense-tingling, euphoric re-work.

The release is backed up by 'Tell Me When’, a modern-sounding club track to be heard in places such as Berlin's Panorama Bar. Pillared by an irresistible bassline, Alan lays down a dusty kick-hat pattern, punctured by ecstatic claps and engulfed in a plethora of scintillating synths.
