Biography
LoveChizz has always been an innovator in the art form of Hip Hop. Hence, the infused sound and style he's dubbed, Caliphop which is a combination of Caribbean music and raw Brooklyn style hip-hop.  Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, he was exposed to rap music in its most infantile stages. LoveChizz was born to Guyanese parents and grew up in the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn, N.Y. which is a predominately West Indian neighborhood.  This is also where Calypso and Dancehall music has a big influence on people and tend to merge the two, which is an advantage for LoveChizz.  His new single, Brooklyn Stand Up, is already getting a buzz with DJ's and other industry alike. After years of being a music aficionado, LoveChizz is ready and prepared for the world to hear and love his music.
 In the words of LoveChizz, Caribbean music on a whole is not only influential but influenced by many genres of music.  Lovechizz developed an aggressive hip hop patois with a doubled edged flow by participating in known sound clashes and freestyle battles.  His sound was so different and people would ask what that style of music is and he would say it’s called Hip hop, which then manifested into Caliphop.  He further describes his style as an assortment of music which doesn’t necessarily imply calypso or reggae music. Which could be inferred by the word Caliphop but, it also includes other musical genres such as House, R&B, Country, and of course Hip-hop. 
Beginning, in the early 80s, LoveChizz’s older brother first introduced him to the world of hip-hop. He would take him from borough to borough to battle artist and dancers in rhyming, popping, and break dancing. This exposure to the multiple facets of the art form was when LoveChizz first discovered his fervor to become an artist and his talent as a performer.  
In the spring of 1994, LoveChizz was part of a group named SCREEM in which they recorded the single, "Hot Peas and Butter" the B-side to the released single “Ill-Tippy Toe”.  Even though it was the groups only known single it went on to create a buzz, receiving numerous requests for more.  The group signed to Independent label Homegrown Records owned by Full Force.  During the life span of the group, SCREEM went on promotional tours, which included local NYC hot spots such as the Lyricist Lounge, The Tunnel and The Ark, to performing at the very first Children's Choice Awards in NYC with other artist such as, Michael Jackson, S.W.V, Black Girls, etc.  
Shortly thereafter, the group disbanded but it was a good learning experience because performing in other states and countries allowed LoveChizz to hone his skills as a MC. That experience also resulted in LoveChizz, connecting with his producer Rude, who was then the in-house producer at Independent label Homegrown Records. The two then began their creative collaboration spurred by a shared musical vibe and mutual understanding of how they wanted to artistically compose songs. Thus, the materialization of Caliphop was born. Both LoveChizz and Rude also shared growing up in the same neighborhood in East Flatbush, as well as, having similar Caribbean backgrounds. With such parallel ties the two have harmoniously produced tunes that reflect their background.

It will feature all that he encompasses lyrics and flow that has evolved into versatility which has afforded him the ability to create an original and distinctive style of his own; A style and sound that he has coined Caliphop.
