This is a recap of the music I played all summer long at the T-Club for Truckee Thursdays.  House Music All Night Long! This set was also featured on 101.5 KTKE Truckee Radio for Soul-Titanium Radio Friday Nights from 9-11. 

Funked^uP Thursdays

I've been collecting the tracks in this mix for 10 years.  Some are new and others are over 10 years old.  I have been collecting music for so long I forget about the gems I have purchased so long ago.  This mix is a deep dive accessing a style I have always admired but never actually tried to make something happen with. I hope to continue in this direction as I Love how this style of house can be so deep and so powerful at the same time.  Hope you enjoy my work.  Love!

I first played this set for my wife Tiffany a few nights ago.  I played through the tracks I would close my eyes and imagine myself on the playa rollerskating.  I would LOVE to play a set like this at the BRC Roller Rink.  Love, Blue

Blossom Festival - wow; you couldn't have wiped the smile off my face the whole time. Not only have I been welcomed into the burner community over in Western Australia whom I got to share Blossom with, but I was booked to close out the Garden stage on the first night of the festival. 

Not only a time of day partial to my favourite flavour of melodic dance music but I slid in no less than 1 homegrown re-edit and 2 pieces of original music. Best paired with a spicy hot chocolate and dancing slippers.

Named this mix after an experience at Burningman 2015.  I ended up out on the Playa with no water and visited my friend Thwen at his art installation.  Asked if he had something for me to drink and he opened a cooler and said grab anything you want.  I pulled a Bluphoria Yerba Mate out and we both just laughed. As I upload this mix I am still at a loss for words.  On November 20, 2019 the greater Tahoe and Reno community lost one of our most treasured resources and our world will never be the same.  Zephyr touched the hearts of everyone that had the privilege of meeting him.  I process, purge and share my emotions through my music and dj sets.  You can say I wear my heart on my sleeve but instead the shirt is 2 cdj's and a mixer.  Creating this set in memory of Zephyr has been one of the most emotional experiences I have had with music in my life.  As I auditioned music I thought of spending time with him in our Camp at Burningman, watching in awe as he played his guitar while rocking out to Prince and watching him dance (better than some of my friends) to deep house when I would play live at Coffee Bar, Squaw and Guitarfish.  I thought of his parents Greg and Moni and what a devastating experience this has been for them as they take it all head on and somehow keep it together.  I thought of the Grandparents,the rest of their families as well as the amazing community coming together to support them and one another in these heartbreaking times.  I thought of all these things and cried, smiled and cried some more and it has left me emotionally drained and helped the healing process begin for me and I hope it can do the same for you.  I feel blessed to live in such a loving community and this community Love's You Zephyr.
