"Raconter l'histoire de la House à travers un seul podcast est une mission ardue tant les différents courants musicaux qui la traversent sont presque infinis.
J'ai décidé de me concentrer principalement sur un de ses courants : la House des années 90's et, principalement, la Piano House. Une époque et un style de house qui m'a toujours marqué et continue de me fasciner.
L'énergie brute des machines des 90's combiné aux nappes de synthé et aux pianos rythmiques m'émoustillent toujours au plus haut point. Bien sûr, étant incapable de jouer la même chose pendant 1 heure, je digresse un peu,
je vais voir ce qu'il se passe récemment ou dans un mood plus rave. 
Quelques gouttes de sueurs, un passage sur Rotary Mixer, une grosse envie de jouer de la House se sont avérés être les parfaits éléments pour obtenir ce podcast qui, je l'espère, vous fera danser."

A Deep Lake is an easy, breezy, sky-blue house tune with a healthy swing and a carefree bass line. The unhurried slow-build evokes just the kind of outdoor jam that Ospovat frequents.

There are some small surprises as the record goes on, though. The more dense, acidic feel of Thick Air is a club-friendly workout, while Chasonsa Vibes has an earthy groove with live drums and half-sung vocals.

The sprightly, Kompakt-esque title track closes out this vibrant EP.

Premiere | Conoley Ospovat - Thick Air (cdrift.025)

LIXTP, the collaboration between Love International Recordings and the Test Pressing website, yields its second release following 2021’s label debut from Fantastic Man.

This time it falls to Test Pressing founder Paul Byrne AKA Apiento to open 2023’s account with the simmering ‘Escape Reality’ EP.

Having carved out a prestigious career over the years, as A&R for Junior Boys Own, International Feel and Test Pressing labels, and releasing his own Apiento productions on Music For Dreams, World Unknown and World Building, Apiento goes in deep across six tracks of esoteric electronica and transcendental dance.

The influence of Detroit techno can be found in the complex drum work and dreamy synths of tracks like ‘Those Busy Circuits’ and ‘Axis’, whilst hedonistic dance vibes are served up on ‘Everything Move’.  Presenting a broad palette of moods and tones, Apiento delivers an all-encompassing release for lovers of the real electronic groove.
