Bristol based, DJ, Producer and Pianist Manami has been killing it playing on huge lineups for years, holding monthly residencies on Worldwide FM and Noods, and releasing a string of solid releases over the last year that suggest there are more records sure to be in the pipeline. 

Classically trained on both piano and violin and initially introduced to the world of dance music through classic 80s Chicago house records: Manami’s instrumental training brings a deep rooted musicality to her mixes and production. Over the last 12 months Manami has released music across two different labels: ‘The 2000’s’ (released on CORRUPT DATA) channels pulsating baselines, punchy snares, 303 wobbles that are all layered on a foundation of 4/4 drum hits while Manami’s Alfresco Disco release ‘Plastic Italo’ took a deeper and darker turn with harder hitting percussion and an infectious grove. Alongside her productions Manami is constantly pushing forward on great lineups alongside fellow powerhouse DJs such as Bicep and HAAI. 

..At the end of 2020 Manami gave Origins the best end of year soundtrack when she took over our Selects playlist and it's the percussive, eclectic and driving taste in her music and sets that makes us so excited to welcome her for Origins Tapes 027.

Freshly moved from Melbourne to London, DAWS is already starting to make her mark in the capital. In her native Australia, she's cemented her name in the underground dance music and queer party scenes with her energetic, joy-filled sets that bridge her love of classic and contemporary house music.

Listening to her bright and punchy selections, you can tell she puts the fun front and centre; there's no room for seriousness and chin stroking round these parts.

This lightness and high-spirited outlook feeds into her own music too. Lockdown was the fuel to shift her focus on to production, and it was during these months where clubs were closed and events cancelled that she found a her voice as a producer and began to gain international recognition doing so. On top of original productions and remixes, which have been released on the likes of Rogue Cuts, Phenomena and Parry Talks, she shared a bunch of personal edits in her charity-focused ADHD series which unearth and rework some of her favourite pop tracks from the early noughties.

Next April will see her share her biggest work to date: a debut EP on Hot Haus Records which is primed for euphoric moments on the dance floor. As she gears up for the release, whilst keeping herself busy in the studio and gracing clubs across the UK and Europe, she pieces together a mix of playful electronics, bright house grooves and vibrant rhythmic excursions to get you through your working day...

Eden Burns is a DJ and producer hailing from the deep south of Aotearoa/New Zealand. As a teenager, he connected with the world of dance music via scuffed tech-house records in dollar bins and a DVD rip of Paris Is Burning. Drawing on these inspirations, his early productions hit a sweet spot between wide-eyed weirdness and club-ready maximalism. His first outings, back then as part of the duo „Sandboards“ on Feel My Bicep and Cold Tonic, soon led him from the Taieri Plains to clubs and stages worldwide. 

Now trading under his own name, Eden’s vividly colourful productions have found a home on Munich’s multi facetted outlet Public Possession. Together they initiated the Big Beat Manifesto series currently standing at Volume IV with number V & VI already lined up for a what will hopefully be a bright 2022 full of dancing and prancing.

Just to make sure it does not get boring he throws in oddball releases like the ambient excursion “Kelly” or remixes for acclaimed labels like “Optimo” and “Beats in Space”. His productions have gained support from Solomun, Jennifer Cardini, Jamie Tiller, Gerd Janson, Avalon Emerson, Adam Port and more. 

Much like the music he makes, Eden’s DJ sets are reverent and wildly fun, the product of an innately curious talent. Whether in the booth at Rinse FM or NTS, or in front of crowds in London, Dunedin, or Japan, Eden has a habit of weaving sets that are rich and unpredictable, interspersing phases of driving momentum with joyful curveballs and blissful reveries — moments that feel like turning the corner on a precipice and suddenly seeing ocean.

Adelaide/Kaurna-born DJ now living in Naarm, playing shows around the city, supporting both local and international artists such as DJ Koze and Gerd Janson. 



Ruby mixes across varying genres such as minimal house and techno to a much deeper, melodic journey style of sets. 



However, this particular mix takes inspiration from a recent Euro summer and expands across a range of sounds and artists that caught her attention as a listener at various clubs and festivals.

DJ, producer and pianist born in Tokyo, raised in the UK, now based in Bristol, Manami plays music inspired by her diverse upbringing and classical training. Through her Better Days party and monthly radio shows on Noods and 1020, she’s built up a loyal following in her hometown of Bristol. Manami is an artist who creates her own tune to dance to and does not limit herself within the boundaries of genres.
