For this single, Adrian Andrei floats roughly between two musical worlds – and he does this with his two monikers Freqax for Drum and Bass and Freqkid for more experimental music.

Let’s start with the Drum and Bass track. “Giver” is a progressive sci-fi track with several sounds that seem to run in opposite directions, which in a very clever way create a compelling groove. The strings synth also gives the tune a floating character.

In “Lucid Dream” he naturally throttles the BPM as Freqkid, but not the intensity of the bass drum, which progresses stoically here. A melancholy melody joins the trippy basic character of the song, which could serve as a suitable soundtrack for a farewell to whatever. Definitely not from Adrian. You will soon hear him again on UTM Records!

Closing out the Pressure EP, ‘Want You’ takes a different approach from its darker counterparts, opening with a more ethereal, atmospheric feel. But don’t let the lighter intro fool you - this is still prime Gwillz energy - and it just so happens to be his personal favourite from the EP. The drop delivers a uniquely crafted roller, packed with uplifting yet weighty basslines and crisp drum work. There’s something infectious about it, somehow still catchy without relying on a hook, a testament to the level of production Gwillz brings to the table. Midway through, the track pulls you back into its dreamlike state, teasing with airy pads before bringing the ‘Want You’ vocal in to guide you straight into the second drop. This time, the energy doubles down, with heavier rolling basslines and intricate synth work that perfectly compliments the first drop, keeping the momentum alive till the very end. Future of Hollows is a descent through dystopia - a chronicle of collapse in four movements.

It begins with Future, where the world teeters on the edge of ruin. Dissonant bells ring like omens, foretelling a time of horror, decay, and irreversible silence. Hope is buried under ash.

Phyrgian follows - a mournful voice rising from scorched earth. The rhythm of poverty, the cry of forgotten lands, wrapped in Middle Eastern tonality and violent bass surges. A landscape where time decays, and humanity clings to remnants of meaning.

Then comes The Signal. A sound from beyond the stars pierces the skies. It’s not human. It’s not friendly. The alien presence is undeniable. Are they answering a call… or bringing the end? Reality fractures. The earth listens.

And at the end: The Sense. A fragile melody emerges from the debris - soft, distant, and shimmering. Is it the beginning of something new, or the final dream before extinction?

No answers are given. Only silence - and the sense that something still breathes in the dark.
