Singing in solidarity with the brave forest defenders holding down the powerful protection of the last remaining ancient Old Growth trees at the Fairy Creek Blockade on Vancouver Island. 🌲

This song was birthed my first night at Fairy Creek, deeply inspired by the passion and open-heartedness I had witnessed and experienced from the conscious community there and the innate magic of the Old Growth forest itself.

I have been playing it quietly ever since that first night, and on every subsequent visit back, but now I feel called to share it loudly, with the larger community, due to its timely message and the energy that song and poetry can carry, to create change and imagine the new worlds that are possible if we all united as one, in our individual power. ✊

‘New Folks’ feels like my offering back, the only way I can think to help right now, and maybe inspire others to keep being these new folks we need in the world, the Leaders of Love.
