'Between Stars' is the debut album from Barcelona based Venezuelan producer and DJ Maurice  Aymard. More than two years in the making, 'Between Stars' has been a labour of love for Aymard as he  travelled the globe to collaborate with musicians and singers in Barcelona, Berlin, London and  Venezuela who could help to bring his vision to life. 
 
Released on Aymard's own Galaktika Records (Garnica, James Teej & more), 'Between Stars' was  recorded entirely live and features contributions from the likes of Brazilian star Gui Boratto, Columbian 
singers Andrea and Paulo Olarte, Argentian guitarist Mariano Godoy and many more, the resulting  album takes the house music template and expands it to a grandiose level. 
 
In an age when anything that isn't packed full of buzzsaw bass and 'sick' drops gets labelled as Deep  House, 'Between Stars' is the real deal, and from the first bars of the albums opening (and title) track, 
'Between Stars' quickly establishes itself as something truly special, a 'house' album that not only works  as a coherent whole but sounds as good at home, by the poolside or in a club at 4am.  
 
If 'live' house albums have in the past had a tendency to verge on the polite, Aymard's skill as a  producer and experience as a DJ keeps things rooted in club culture and nearly every track off 'Between 
Stars' deserves to find its way into DJ sets over the coming months. Rather than smooth things out the  live instrumentation instead adds an energy to the tracks and the subtle touches, that the likes of  guitarist David Rondón brings to 'El Final', lift the album up to another level altogether. 
 
Since moving from Venezuela to Spain and launching Galaktika Records, Aymard has become an  integral part of the European house music scene. With releases on the likes of Berlinʼs Moodmusic, Hamburgʼs Einmusika and Denmarkʼs Tic Tac Toe Records, and remix credits for artists such as Mario  Basanov, Compuphonic and Combo, Aymard has built a reputation for delivering quality underground  house music and with his debut album Aymard looks set to secure his position as one of the scene's most innovative artists.

Last autumn, Cologne-based duo COMA released their long-awaited sophomore full-length THIS SIDE OF PARADISE (KOMPAKT 335 CD 126) - Mixmag proclaimed the album as “a lush, melodic and electronic creature” that completely fits their wide sonic palate. The band gave free reign to have the artists that appear on this release remix their favorite tracks from the album. What we have is a trio of great reinterpretations that literally sound like they come from the heart: MOSCOMAN is definitely on his way to being hailed as a face to watch in 2016. His releases on ESP Institute, I'm A Cliché and Renate were played to death in our office, so we happily welcome him with this amazing remix of BORDERLINE. We got to know BAIO as a member of VAMPIRE WEEKEND - he has kept our ears on alert thanks to great releases on Greco-Roman and his phenomenal debut album. He takes on THE SEA in his own way and warps it into an epic dance floor bloomer. Look out for a remix of BAIO that COMA did which is expected out soon. ALEX HENTZE rounds off this release with a step-heavy crooner to end any great night out.

After the pretty huge success of the “Star Wash EP” Space Ranger bring along two new boogie bangers from their voyage to the stars in order to make the wait for their debut album (due out in October 2010) a lot more bearable. Cosmic disco galore, with Madrid-based producer Rayko slowing the title track down a tad more and making it even more psychedelic than it already is, and Italian Ajello using his stardust on “Shave Me, I’m Famous” for extra space/spice.

In their previous disguises they have done remixes for the likes of Kool and The Gang, Sugababes or Kurtis Blow, but now they are absolutely focused on this project.

The three members of the band have been producing music and spinning records for a while now. They started their DJ career in late 80s/ early 90s and they are strongly influenced by the deep club sound of these days. Combining sophisticated production skills, a huge range of analogue equipment and a long-term experience of what’s working on dance floors around the world they know how to move the crowds. By accessing to samples taken from a huge collection of old-school dance, disco and soul records they are creating the distinctive and sophisticated house and disco sound of today. Knowledge is power and Space Ranger is a powerful fresh force addressed to the discerning dancefloors.

Lovemonk is a small but very sunny and eclectic label from Madrid. When it comes to put an, err, label on the label’s sound things become complicated. In times when everybody seems to be specialising in something, Lovemonk touches a lot of styles, and many different styles at that. 

Its artists cover a wide range of styles from the most club-oriented electronica to the prettiest folk, with everything in between, although the most common sounds in our catalogue come from black roots.

Everything fits under the motto, “Discos Buenos.”
