A well deserved opportunity to hear Jürgen Paape for fans and newcomers – revived and remastered and for the very first time on double vinyl – in a way that it plays through like a full length album. Some of the biggest moments of Kompakt over a three decade history are here; the chorus of “So Weit Wie Noch Nie” remains timeless – there to send shivers of pleasure down your spine as we feel at the end of exhaustive end of a night. “Take That” is an anthem for the still to be built rock stadiums of tomorrow. It’s a bonafide hit that put him in the charts in Australia and Italy. – “Come Into My Life” remains undeniably one of Kompakt’s catchiest pop tracks ever. “So Wird Die Zeit Gemacht” – builds on Paape’s signature sound with the spirit and vitality of classic house and a truly demented vocal hook. Someone who steadfastly marches to the beat of his own drum, Pépe molds together a collection of crystalline melodies, gentle pads, and elegant drum programming that are as unique as they are enjoyable to listen to. Having come out with a record on Loose Fit earlier this year, the Valencian producer continues on his creative streak with a new release set to debut on New York's Let's Play House next month.

Simply titled Aerial, Pépe delivers a 4 track EP that is situated perfectly for springtime with its playful-like demeanor that mimics the feeling of nature and the skies coming to life once again. The tune we have for you today is titled " As Long as There's Sunset," and it truly gets to the heart of what this record is all about. From start to finish, Pépe utilizes syncopated rhythms and jovial synth arrangements to express a movement and energy that makes the listener feel as if they are floating on air - taking in the mesmerizing views that await our eyes as our planet begins to blossom around us.

Love On The Rocks is back with our first record of the year – a remix of a obscure psychedelic proto-trance cut from ’93, remastered, reissued and remixed for the future by @roza-terenzi and @alexkassian.

‘State Of Mind’ was first released on Rhythm Design in 1993, then remixed in ’94 by @justin-drake and @o-s-m / Quinn Whalley, AKA Slack, who released their first 12” on @andrew-weatherall’s Sabres of Paradise label and years later would go on to found seminal dance music acts @peacedivision & @paranoid-london.

But not before leaving a trail of fire 12”s and remixes behind them, which they found time to do between running around London, DJing, throwing parties and pulling all nighters in the studio. This, in our view, is the key to it all - equal parts tribal, trance and techno, built around a pulverising kick drum, with synths direct from outer space, incomprehensible computerised vocals seemingly delivered through vocoder, rewinds, and breakdowns galore; it sounds like a transmission from an alien race, relentless and insane.

Roza Terenzi brings typical A-game to her mix, taking down the tempo but amping up the weird, loosely following the original’s structure of build ups and strip downs while lacing its tribal/extra-terrestrial vibes with additional jungle sounds and atmospheric pads, for what feels like a morning stroll through a psychedelic rainforest.

Alex Kassian takes no prisoners with his extended update/workout complete with booming vocal samples, planet-destroying bass and layers of pin- sharp, slamming percussion that smartly echoes the original and retools it for ‘21.

The vinyl comes in a full sleeve with special artwork, inlay with notes from Justin Drake & an exclusive download code.
