'Pivotal Monstrosities' is a concept EP featuring songs that correspond to selected scenes of different televised shows of the anime, crime, sci-fi and horror genres, dramatically depicting pivotal character changes, inner conflict and moral struggle accompanying murder and death. The individual songs were developed from different narrations of several characters’ “inner darkness”, reflecting a reoccurring conceptual stimulus in Loverkill's writing. The atmosphere of these genres and their isolated scenes carry particular emotive charge, which translates into a dark, sinister, romantic soundscape.
