Think way back into time, back when Studio 54 was the place to go. You‘ve heard the stories, you may have seen some pictures and you surely know the music that was played at that place. Proper Disco and Funk. People wilding out. Arnold Schwarzenegger getting  his boogie on. Sylvester Stallone doing the hustle. 
Well, what if - hypothetically - we could bring that feeling back?
Berlin-based band The Hoo actually found a hole back to the 80s when Cosmic Disco and such sounds had been the stuff to listen to. You could easily head down the street and for some reason chrash into a Soul train as people would line up for showing off their best dance moves. It wasn‘t too much about the looks back then but more about celebrating the 
music. That‘s exactly what „Guepe Ride“ offers. 
As funky bass riffs combine with atmospheric synthesizer sounds paired with french vocals, your feet surely cannot hold still. 
Next to the magnificent original, that draws comparisons to Daft Punk on a yayo-party with Rick James, the Netherlands‘ best kept secret Skylab transform the tune into a techy House-hymn that could be your festival‘s best company. Deep basses, rolling drum patterns and the funkyness of the original. A stern test to stand still.
California‘s Disco-funkateer Dino Soccio offers with his more chilly approach a remix for the pool parties and beach siestas at Venice Beach or Downtown L.A. as well as Ibiza alike.

Influenced by the house music scene since ’92, including artists such as Adamski, N-Joi, Future Sound Of London, Hardfloor and the explosive dance music melange of the early 90’s that included acid house, house, techno, hardhouse and hardcore. Mr. Tea (aka Michael Devin to the IRS) has a long and storied production history, with releases on labels like Higher State Records, Hard Hands & Concrete and collaborations with folks like Paul Bleasdale (Cream) and Sabres of Paradise (Andrew Weatherall). Tea’s latest activity includes deep house and techno releases for the Crossfrontier and Soundspace labels in 2016 and a three-track EP on well-known Berlin nightclub imprint Bar25.
