Being raised by two metaphysical ministers, (Mom also being a nurse and Dad a musician) along with having roots in the church and in theatre has influenced her music in a way that resonates as mystical, thought provoking, therapeutic and at times other worldly. With a heavily vocal and melodic sound that is intricately woven with a bounty of soul stirring harmonies, Shanti (Om) uses her gifts and talents as a singer/songwriter/producer/performance artist to create an experience for the listener that invites them, even if for a short moment in time, to step into an alternate reality.
