Love (Soul Whirling Somewhere Remix)

Mystical electro-acoustic version of the classic American spiritual, "Motherless Child," featuring epic vocal harmonies from members of Los Angeles duo, Lovespirals, and San Francisco band, Karmacoda. Originally recorded by Lovespirals for their 2007 album, 'Long Way From Home,' then completely reworked by Karmacoda, for the 'Motherless Child EP' released by Lovespirals in 2008. This song was featured in the Chillcast Top 20 of 2007, alongside the Karmacoda original, "Turn".

Ryan Lum of Lovespirals/Love Spirals Downwards put together this mix set during his atmospheric drum & bass DJ heydey between promotions for his 1998 album, 'Flux,' and his retrospective comp, 'Temporal,' in 2000. Funnily enough, it does not include ANY of his own music. ;) This set was first released via Live365 in April 2000 and featured in the Jungle section of the short lived RadioSpy site run by GameSpy in March 2000.
