Danny began his musical journey as a huge hip-hop fan, which first introduced him to the art of DJing. Scratching and beat juggling became his first skills on the decks. Born and raised in southern Germany, he quickly became a member of the local rave scene.

His journey evolved year by year: In 2014, he went on to found his own party label, Amaru Family. The following year, he became a resident at Club Romantica, and by 2017, he had also taken up a residency at White Noise. That same year, his journey in Berlin began, where he played at several well-known clubs such as Watergate, Wilde Renate, and Sisyphos. The Sisyphos community became like family to him, leading to frequent performances there. During this time, he also began to put his name out internationally. Then, for the 2019/2020 season, he became a resident at Goya Social Club in Madrid, Spain.

His signature sound is built on rolling basslines, groovy rhythms, and playful melodies. Altogether, his style flows effortlessly between House, Detroit House, Minimal, Deep, and Break Beats.

Mäder is no stranger to aficionados of the German house scene, having previously delivered compelling works for a roster of acclaimed imprints including theBasement Discos, Miura, Frank Music, Zissou, Constant Change, and TOYS Berlin, just to name a few. This history reveals a producer with a refreshingly versatile palette, refusing to be pinned to a single subgenre. The "Understanding" EP continues this journey, presenting two original tracks that feel both introspective and rhythmically engaging. They build a nuanced, atmospheric world that invites listeners to move their feet while simultaneously engaging their minds, a balancing act that Mäder performs with a veteran’s ease.

Karolina’s interest in Ambient, Experimental, and Downtempo music stems from the love for creating spaces where listeners can rest, ground or go through some uncomfortable but necessary thought process. This feeling pushed her into the world of sound baths, singing bowls, and gongs, where she can combine sound creation, space holding, emotional transformation, and being in service for others. Either in her project Records and Bowls or simply DJing as Karolina, in her selections, there is a noticeable sinusoid from calmness towards intensity or discomfort, which lands back again in soothing hope.

British producer Antic, though now operating from his base in Barcelona, continues to build a compelling and emotionally resonant catalogue. His work consistently defies simple genre classification, aiming instead to map the complex terrain of human feeling through sound. Following well-received outings on respected imprints like Logia, Clash Lion, and Anjunadeep, he presents the "Suffer in Silence" EP, coming soon on Dreamhouse Recordings. This three-track collection includes the titular piece alongside "Never Stop," a collaboration with vocalist Claudia Georgette, which is offered in both a Club mix and the Dub Version we are examining today.

The pumping Dub Version of “Never Stop” artfully strips back the composition to emphasise a compelling fusion of Post-Punk and Synthpop. The track is built upon a foundation of resonant, deep-set guitar riffs that provide a gritty, driving momentum. Claudia Georgette’s and Antic's vocals take on a more subdued, textured role, weaving through the arrangement rather than dominating it. These elements are enveloped by expansive, dreamy pads that create a rich, atmospheric soundscape. The final product is a cohesive and magnetic piece that channels the best of 80s-inspired, danceable melancholy, earning its place as a genuine Neo Disco treasure reminiscent of New Order's pioneering work.

The interesting Italian imprint Nubians of Plutonia proudly unveils "Proton Waves," a vibrant and cohesive VA that beautifully encapsulates the label's foundational sound. This eleven-track collection serves as a compelling survey of the current Indie Dance/Nu Disco landscape, bringing together a diverse and talented roster. On board: Astore, CSK (SXDNS088), Lucas Novaes, O.P.S., Samuele De Santis, Neurotiker, TDWS, and Pleasure Seeker, the label's own guiding force, just to name a few. Together, they form a collective of modern architects, each contributing a unique piece to a brilliantly cohesive puzzle, showcasing the creative ferment currently animating the scene and setting a compelling stage for the depths that follow.

Among these contributors, Rio de Janeiro-based Neurotiker stands as a particularly notable presence, an artist whose reputation for crafting vital dance-floor material is well-earned through a series of distinguished and well-received appearances on imprints such as Emerald & Doreen, Ritmo Fatale, Club Mackan, Dogmatraxxx, and Dischi Autunno. His contribution, the masterfully titled “Tottori Sakyu,” is a peak-time tour de force. The name, referencing Japan's vast coastal sand dunes, provides a perfect conceptual anchor for the track's expansive and shifting architecture. Thomas Ross Fitzsimons expertly navigates the space between the concert hall and the circuitry of the studio. A British-Australian composer with a foundation in classical performance, “Fitz” has gradually shifted his focus from purely acoustic expression to a hybrid world where orchestral elements converse with sampled textures and synthesized forms. This evolution is clear in his diverse projects, which range from the comedic landscape of “Everyone Else Burns” to the acclaimed documentary “The Cathedral.” His ongoing series, “The Planets,” marks a significant chapter in this artistic journey, born from hands-on tinkering with modular hardware and inspired by the atmospheric work of figures like Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, Alessandro Cortini, and Ryuichi Sakamoto. For the second volume, Fitzsimons returns to the same celestial source that guided Gustav Holst: the astrological writings of Alan Leo.

For the movement “Jupiter,” Fitzsimons fully embraces Leo’s conception of the planet as a beacon of optimism and growth. The composition avoids any hint of royal fanfare or baroque ornamentation, instead building its expansive vision from the ground up with a foundation of insistent, driving rhythms. These pulsating patterns create a powerful sense of propulsion, as if launching the listener on a journey. Above this kinetic engine, Fitzsimons layers vast, warm chords that bleed into one another with a pleasing saturation, crafting an immense and open soundscape that favours textural immersion over melodic declaration. The prolific Spanish powerhouse Espacio Cielo continues its impressive run with its 91st offering, this time from the talented and versatile Avar Garden. Hailing from Malaga, the producer presents an EP that feels both meticulously constructed and intuitively raw. Across two original compositions and two reworks from Leonor (SXDNS034) and Mundo D, Avar Garden maps a landscape of hypnotic rhythms and compellingly rough-hewn textures. The foundation of the project is the title piece, “Vertigo,” a track conceived during the profound hours of Madrid’s night. It draws direct inspiration from the legendary Sala Vértigo, serving as a genuine tribute to those sacred spaces where the pulse of club culture continues to beat long after the rest of the city has fallen silent.

Premiered here, Leonor’s remix takes the theme and steers it onto an entirely new path. The Mexican virtuoso, in reimagining the track, homes in on the very physical sensation the title suggests – a dizzying, exhilarating loss of balance on the dance floor. Where the original might embody the hazy, emotional weight of a night reaching its peak, Leonor’s version, with its Post-Punk/Synthpop dash, is the moment you surrender to the motion. We are more thrilled to welcome the mighty Thievery Corporation.

Taken from their highly acclaimed album Radio Retaliation which was originally released on their label ESL, El Pueblo Unido gets the remix treatment courtesy of Miguel Migs who delivers some creatively thoughtful reinterpretations of the song.

With plenty of live instrumentation including a healthy dose of layered percussion and a smooth horn riff, warm synth chords and deep bouncing basslines are all showcased here along with cut-up and dubbed out vocal snippets for a balance of depth and dimension.

High level production values, steady grooves, complex yet subtle arrangements and well crafted musicianship are all featured here in this lovely package.
