The first two songs off the third MachineFirst record "sometimes in majestic twilight" both were written in St. Thomas in the winter of 2013. "Boat/Barge" is about taking the Ferry over to St. John about that occasional feeling of being with a lot of people but then also alone.  "The center of the circle" is a bit more complicated, but I think it's about realizing other people's bliss and the possibility of bliss/peace.
