like this sound !! its a calming one  a little like an african hand made finger drum

hypnotic sound! No wonder you have to play them every morning, still can't understand how you made such beautiful sounds from central heating tanks!

First there were some steeltongue-drums, then a Diddley-bow, now an upright bass... maybe there will be soon some more.... enough for a set, I think... : ))

Selfmade instruments

Today I made a diddley bow (as shown in the picture) and this is the first try.... I recorded it with a contact-mic and a Zoom-player (guitar-effects)..... looped first in the Kaossilator then in Ableton...

Lovvarion - AllesWirdGut (DiddleyBowBlues)

As shown in the picture, this is my new upright bass I built the last 5-6 days....it's about 1m 90cm high, made out of a piece of an old bed of my children, a wooden oval box, some guitar and bicycle-pieces and 3 strings normally used for tennisrackets....was a lot of fun to make it and now a lot of to discover the possibilities.... looped in Ableton with Ableton-effects, here's a teaser... : ))

last time this happened i took 1000s of photo of the birds and squirrels outside the window. that actually worked for the good so ....

How to tell you...

Galactic Meatball

I always wanted a Hang, as long as I heard this instrument for the first time...But to get one, you have to be (very) rich and wait a long time....So I searched another way: SteelTongueDrums, but they are expensive as well, too expensive for me...So now I have another hobby: I have made some Tank-Drums by myself after studying all kind of SteelTongueDrums in the Internet, made out of steel tanks from an older centralheat installation (is this english?). This one is my third try (A#, C# , two "F" for better overtones (could be tuned down with magnets!!), g#, a#, c, c#), cut out with a machine ("Flex"), tuned with a handsaw and an instrument-tuner, then polished....A lot of work, the first one is bad, the second well-done, the fourth is in work....Maybe I can sell some in the future
Now I have to play it every morning after getting up, like a meditation... the sounding is like a drug: I want to hear it again and again....and it makes me HAPPY!!!!
