If you think it is purely the men who bring it hard behind the decks- you have yet to meet Hannah Wants. Miss Wants, notorious for her hard-hitting bass house style, is a self taught DJ from Birmingham. Over the past few years this new genre of house music has quickly risen to the forefront of the scene with Hannah securely taking the reigns as its leading lady.

In 2010 Hannah dedicated her summer to Ibiza to gain a concrete reputation as a house music DJ. Her unique and commanding style had a profound and powerful impact on clubbers and her peers, as a result she soon found herself in high demand gaining residencies, winning competitions and playing at prestigious events and venues across Ibiza.  The hype surrounding Miss Wants followed her home from the clubbing capital, and with each and every set played her popularity flourished across the UK. Locally Hannah became a focal DJ at Birmingham’s Rainbow Warehouse events and began to truly showcase her talent and authority at the decks. 

In April 2013, Hannah’s track ‘Dappy’ was released through Food Music. It found worldwide success and support and firmly established Hannah as a musical force to be reckoned with. Since then, Hannah’s tracks and mixes have continued to create waves, gaining momentum with every release. 

The future looks limitless for Miss Wants with a newfound status the true result of a well earned and dedicated effort – her ability to continually surprise and blow the eardrums of all who hear her work will inescapably keep Hannah at the top of her game.

Low Steppa's Old Skool Garage Session Part 1

Here's the mix I compiled as entry into the Hannah Wants UK DJ search.  The mix is split into two 30 minute sections - one a warm up set, the latter a peak time set.  

There's a right range of tracks in this mix.  I've tried to express, particularly in the second part, how I love to play out whilst also offering something different to the tour, which is the ultimate prize. In the middle of a worldwide pandemic the 2020 Ibiza season hangs in the balance and because of that I spent hours reminiscing and diving into old hard drives to find music with memories from my ten years in Ibiza to make Mixtape 0520 a special edition, Ibiza Feels... 

Having started my bi-monthly mixtapes back in 2012 Mixtape 2019 marks the NINTH year of my mixtape series! I started pushing mixtapes NINE YEARS ago, that's kinda madness! What a journey these nine years have been.

To the people who have been listening since day dot, to the people who have only just started listening and everyone in between thank you!
