We’re deep in the dog days of Summer, so it’s only appropriate we turn up the heat with a bit of fire from our “Summer Funk” release, featuring four bangers from four different artists.

Lee Walker makes his debut on Dirtybird with “Rock Climber”, a ferocious track with build-ups and build-downs that make you feel like you’re on an unforgiving rollercoaster. Huge.

Weiss has been a favorite of ours the past year, and follows up his recent Dirtybird EP with “Bounce”. It does exactly what it says, with Weiss’ trademark mixture of jackin beats, underground boom and a bit of amusement.

Lord Leopard first appeared with Eats Everything in March on one of our biggest EPs of the year, and goes solo with “As Gospel”. The contagious lead line swirls in and out over a dark set of drums and bass that will certainly contribute to Lord’s rapid ascent as an artist to watch.

Bump Ugly’s “Lost My Mind” rounds out the EP with animated beats and bass that dance along with quirky bleeps and blips for a funky Summer ride.

Your dance partner from a former life breathes upon your neck. The initial euphoria twists to dread as you find the face looming upon you is lathered in grotesque white paint. A spherical rubber nose presses upon your back. It feels good and you don’t know why.

PREMIERE: Point Set - Haus Call [CARTEL COLLECTIVE]

A power couple is a term we usually use when we see two individuals who are leading the way in a loving relationship. This is a term that can definitely transfer into the music industry when you see two producers who gel seamlessly and complement each other. The said couple is @manolowashere & @BOT106.

If you have been watching the LA scene as of late, you would have seen manolo's name popping up quite a bit as he releases his first tracks to the world and DJ sets alike. BOT, a household favorite and THE master of distorting 808's has been around since we can even remember. The first time hearing of BOT was a track he released in 2005 'Marmalade' which is on an old hard drive somewhere.

The title track 'My Face' shows the full force of this very likely duo while they fill the ears of every 3 am clubber out there. The b-side, on the other hand, shows their mercy while they bring you home safely with rhythmic patterns and sweet piano.

Wether its lower case or UPPER CASE, actually, even if it's just symbols, it's the music in this two-tracker that shows the vast experience and knowledge these two bring to the table together.
