Bob Marley originally wrote "Get Up, Stand Up" after an impactful visit to Haiti in 1973. He was deeply moved by the nation's poverty and the economic plight of its citizens. 

But the message of the song resonates just as much today as it did when he wrote it nearly 50 years ago. We hope that our remix of this timeless classic will inspire YOU to stand up for what you believe in, just as Bob stood up for the plight of those less fortunate so long ago.

LCK’s debut album Big Like China dropped in early 2014 and is highlighted by features from Martin Luther McCoy [Across the Universe] and Kelli Love, and ranges widely from heavy beat-driven rap anthems [Manifest Destiny] to soulful pop hits [Mmm Mmm Mmm, Another Ordinary Day] to Kanye-esque industrial orchestral instrumentals, and everything in between.

The album was recorded in a coal mine. RICKETTS [lead guitar, rappin’] and MONTGOMERY [keys, beats, sangin’] unearthed 45 minutes of searing modern soul music using real instruments and a nitrogen-cooled supercomputer, all while juggling the real-world responsibilities of two single dragon trainers looking for love.

After a recent spate of live performances, they launched a fashion line and produced a new music video [Live at Amnesia] slated for forthcoming release.
