Getting everything you thought you wanted in life may not be worth the price it took to get there. That is partly the message found in this smooth love song tinged with heartbreaking regrets about a former lover lost in the hustle.

Maxie Kinney wrote the song and lyrics while singing backup to her sister and music partner Inge Goodson on lead vocals; the talented Spike Jones produced the song at his studio. Here is a smooth song with a catchy tune and vocals coming from the early 1990s. Inge sings lead vocals in an exceptional performance while Maxie Kinney (her sister and musical partner) sings back up. Bob Medzer, Inge, and Maxie worked together to produce the song. 
Inge: "Maxie put the music to this song I wrote about the Nashville music scene. Among the places we performed were many different characters, the guys especially! One type stood out above the rest ...The "gift to women" and Cocky lounge lizards waiting to put their hooks into us with their smooth talkin' lines and rough and tumble good looks!

Here is a heartfelt song Inge wrote, sang, and produced in the 2000s, including creating the video. With a style all her own, this down-to-earth, artistic song expresses the journey to trusting in God, as she explains below.  
Inge: "I wrote this during a time in my life when I realized that God allows trials and hardships in order to transform us. I was struggling and exhausted trying to figure out what God wanted me to do with my life. I needed Him to shed some light but I received nothing only more darkness. I was worried that my friends and family would grow tired of my depression and leave me. It was hard but I finally reached out to my close friend which is what God wanted me to do in order to come out of my isolation and move on."

Inge and her talented niece Shannon Bex work together to create a great love song expressing the harsh realities of a love gone wrong. Inge sings lead while Shannon sings back-up in this touching effort. Inge also produced the video.

Maxie: "There’s a story behind it when we were in Tennessee we stopped at this old farmhouse it was in the middle of the highways and mom wanted to stop and we went in and we talk to the old man owned it and mom actually sat on the front porch swing with him and talked it was sad and I wrote this song about that old man and his house."

Song: Don't Tear Her Down (Album: Vol. 3)

Songwriting is often storytelling, as it is with this song about a lonely woman longing for her man who was lost at sea, so she went to extremes to be reunited with him. Maxie wrote the story in the late 80s as she sat on the beach. 
Maxie:
"The story behind this song is during a walk along the beach at night someone spotted a lady gracefully kick off her shoes as she walked by then she  walked into the sea, as she was longing for her man who was lost at sea."
Maxie sang and produced the song and made the artwork recently.

Another great country song from the archives of Maxie's song chest, Her Memory is about a woman trying to compete with the memory of a past love in her husband's heart and mind. 
The song was written by Maxie in the 90s and she also sings backup to her sister Inge Goodson on lead vocals. It was produced by Lonnie Perez.
