Fresh from support slots with Anna Calvi and after their debut ‘The EP of Hope and Despair’ led to them being named Guardian ‘new band of the day’, won over Tom Robinson on BBC 6Music and earned a clutch of 5/5 reviews, Sheffield’s Greenwood brothers Low Duo return with their second EP in only five months.

Since forming in August 2010 the prolific pair have been winning hearts nationwide with their unique brand of darkly emotive minimalist guitar pop – all of which is written and performed with just one guitar and one voice.

Staying true to Low Duo’s original vision, ‘The EP of Fear and Failure’ is another stripped back affair that refuses to incorporate anything more than guitar and voice. The quality of the songwriting is at the forefront, as is the deep connection between Adam’s haunting guitar lines and Leigh’s versatile voice and subtle poetic lyrics.

The brothers have learned from their debut though and this second installment is darker, denser and more purposeful.
