One of the stranger pairs of subjects here are subjects D-12 and D-98, referred to as Dottie “Doc” McStuffins and Tails Doll respectively. Doc appears to be a young girl with a certain affinity for fixing toys and other playthings and arrived here with a few in tow. Perhaps that’s what drew her to attempting to fix up Tails Doll, which at first glance appears to be a crude plush version of a video game mascot’s sidekick. However, experimentation has shown something more lies beneath that intimidating deadpan glare. Doc has been a bit vague on why she’s operating on this toy, something I worry could lead to something far worse.

Samus is Susie. Susie-Samus in early Chapter 1 isn't as outwardly mean as early Chapter 1 Susie, she's more so just stoic and standoffish. Also nobody knows that she's female in early Chapter 1, due to her helmet and the fact that she doesn't speak much. Speaking of her helmet, it's just a motorcycle helmet in the Light World (Battlefield) she only gets the futuristic bounty hunter stuff in the Dark World.
She takes off her helmet once she starts being friends with Link and (Unrevealed Replacement: Ralsei) as a parallel to Susie moving her hair out of the way of her eyes.
