‘Dracula’ is a track which highlights the multitude of skills from the artists. Using horror sample effects to perfectly craft the drop and the flow. Kake is known for his diverse production and mixing styles, he is an artist whose genre spans from Bassline to Drum and Bass and Disco. This track follows the same, but loved formula of ‘Frankenstein,’ using samples that nod to the horror genre. However, Kake crafts the song to be upbeat and release consistent energy throughout.

Simran Deo (Wayv D) was the founder of Low End records back in 2018. He has since been expressing the finest creators of underground Bass music. Past releases of Low End include; Luke Randall, Spectrum, MPH & HODA. For their tenth release, Deo has put forward his artist alias for the latest chapter of Low End. These 2 tracks encapsulate the qualities of both Wayv D & Low End, along with reflecting the multitude of abilities from the artist.

The first track, ‘Sanguine,’ demonstrates consistent upbeat energy throughout. The track subtly teases a drop in the first section, a short and sweet introduction. The drop then carries a profound feeling of positive energy. Furthermore, changing the tempo in the middle providing structure to the track. ‘Sanguine’ is translated as optimistic or positive. Deo says the word, ‘depicts how I’ve lived my life in the last few years, without even realising.’ 

The second track is ‘Fresh,’ which features the rapper Papirus. Wayv D crafts a track that mirrors the confident tone and flow of Papirus, while simultaneously reflecting the style and mood of his consistent, recognisable productions. The punchy vocal melody of Prapirus is anchored by the bright energy from the classic Wayv D bass drop we’ve previously heard. ‘Fresh’ will be the first Low End track that will feature a vocalist. This track is the perfect start for this movement for Low End, it perfectly demonstrates the growth and development from the label. Furthermore, showcasing the adaptability of Wayv D as a producer and his multitude of skills.

The music of Wayv D consists of heartening spirit throughout, thoughtful productions and electrifying drops that expresses his love & knowledge of Bass culture. However, Wayv D still dares to reflect the individuality & joyous energy of Deo himself, carrying an element of himself within his music. This release is the perfect example.

Fraud becomes apart of the Low End family with his debut EP release ‘Origins’ which is forthcoming on the 20th of December. 

Low End is about discovery, diversity & distinction of dance music with its culinary flavours originating from Bass driven sounds. Fraud’s induction perfectly fits our ideology of providing a platform for unheard and relatively unknown producers who are pushing the boundaries with their sound, abiding by the roots and origination of music culture, which is a key part of Low Ends identity. 

Fraud’s a new member of the partake who joins an already discrete illustrious selection of artists. 

 ‘Origins Ep’ is as Fraud puts it ‘A chance to create a body of work that show people who I am as an artist. Instead of releasing songs individually, the styles of each track show the different avenues I want to explore as a musician.’ All in all, the EP express the sounds and divergence of Fraud's productional traits, taking influence from the re-rise of bassline, with 4x4 drums and round cutting sine waves pitched to melodically twist your emotions.

Wayv D Ft. Papirus - Fresh

The platform of 3000 was founded with the original intention of supplying a platform for underground bass music to flourish, be the through glistening label projects or artist led initiatives. We have therefore followed the progress of the rapidly rising Low End Records imprint since their formation and are therefore super excited to see just how far they have come as a label project.

They now boast a pretty hefty catalogue for their first nine releases, holding original creations and remixes in the bag from the likes of Luke Randall, Spectrum, MPH and Hoda, the first four names that jump out you for their notable emergence across 2019. The label was originally founded by Birmingham based producer: Wayv D, who has done extremely well to create such a notable and recognisable brand in such a short space of time.

It just so happens also that this latest drop from them see's their label founder return to business as he gears up for two original creations, showcasing that he isn't just the brains behind the label operation, but also a creditable producer alongside.


These two tracks boast quite unique traits as bassline originals, the first of which takes the name of 'Sanguine'. If you were to define this one quickly, you would call it a classic bassline anthem, a track build for the big rooms and festival stages, working from an originally drumless drop into a high energy 4x4 roller, driven by exciting bass synths and colourful instrumentation.

There really isn't long to go now until we hear the bells and whistles of Santa's slay turning the corner, which makes it as good a time as ever to squeeze a final release in before we move into a brand new release schedule in 2020. We have seen a worldwide explosion with the realms of bass music, which really become one of the most exciting sub-genre's of dance music to be a part of. As a whole, this year will go down as the year the sound expanded, growing out of the more original, niche sound, into a more world-accessible collection of themes and styles. 

Here at threethousand.co.uk, we have been keeping a keen eye on the scene as it evolves, both on the high rollers of our time, and also, more importantly in our eyes, those who have spent 2019 on the come up. There have been numerous label project that have spent the year building, solidifying both their brand and back catalogue. Competition from behind will always keep the top boys on their toes, which in turn will continue to drive our scene forward with original flavours, keeping the rust away. 

One label that regular readers will be able to tell we really enjoy keeping an eye on is Low End, a project headed up by Wayv D, a Birmingham based producer with his finger on the pulse, constantly supplying the scene with high quality original drops. Today, we are here to take a peek at their final offering of the year as they invite in Fraud for a tasty three track mix up. The project kicks off with a potent, well thought out creation that takes the name 'Rampage'. This one combines modern bass drones with more mature drum designs to come up with something quite original, that yet doesn't seem out of place anywhere. 

Following this, we then skip into the fluttering arpeggios and spacey introduction of the title track 'Origins', again catapulting us into a neat blend of newer bass sounds and techy drum designs, showing us the unique direction that Fraud appears to be taking quite seriously indeed. Finally, we round off this delicious project with a look at 'Cheques', which again fuses the mellow and lively perfectly, this time with a catchy vocal sample from Duke Sky to aid it on it's way.
