@rosa-au is an enigmatic project based in Naarm/Melbourne. Encapsulating a mix series, illegal raves and more recently a record label (the first release of which came from the equally elusive Sa Pa), the project’s unwavering thread is its focus on sound and curation.

With Patterns of Perception 90, Rosa offers a visceral, expansive journey that touches nearly every corner of its sophisticated soundscape. Bio:
Grown up in the rurals of Basel, Mjulev started playing electronic music in his early teen years. Soon after that he began working as a sound technician in one of the biggest clubs in Basel. When he realized that it is way more than a hobby he built his first studio and started his bachelor's degree as a sound engineer. After years of producing a lot of techno, dub, minimal and house he discovered his love for ambient and therefore he started producing it
as well.

Description Mix:
An ambient project that started with single tracks and grew into a complete album which then ended up in this mix. It’s a combination of ambient drones, field recordings and electronic sound products.

This new mix is by the talented Czech DJ and producer @Kletis who recently released his impressive LP "Saudade" on our catalogue. Expect tribal sounds, drum & bass, breakbeat, ambient music and deep techno precisely arranged with a perfect sense of narrative.

Accents Podcast Series #05 - KLETIS

Looking to create warm and energetic atmospheres, @toe_music likes to make you travel into a psychedelic world where music becomes a spirit of its own. She is the mother of the music and visual arts projects @ouroboros-crew and @ewo_collectif.

For this episode, she took inspiration from the Yacurunas, a mythological aquatic people of the Amazon basin living in beautiful underwater cities. The Yacurunas, found primarily in the oral traditions of indigenous tribes, are said to take many different forms, from hairy humans with an upturned head and deformed feet, to the famous Amazonian pink dolphins ... They are usually described as being shapeshifters, capable of taking human form to lure their victims into their clutches, be they fishermen, husbands, or young women... 
Despite the kidnappings, the Yacurunas are generally not considered to be evil. They are incredibly talented healers, and shamans often consult them for advice and remedies.

Chapter I

Passing by the river, you can hear some strange voices. They are appealing. Your fear is overtaken by curiosity. You remember you heard stories about this legend of the people of water, they are spirits protecting the water, they don’t like humans, you know they drown them into the depths of the water. But you can’t stop and you are walking toward these voices. and the more you approach the less you can hear them, maybe the voices are too deep into the water. So you wait patiently. And the more you look at the surface of the river, the more you are absorbed by it. Now your mind is completely hypnotized. You can see them, these beautiful and scary creatures, the Yacurunas, and you fall into the depths of the river.

Chapter II

Now that you are with them, there is no way out. Just accept and your body starts to move, turning into a watery dance. You realize that you can be part of them, just by letting go. They are accepting you the more you accept them, they teach you how to just go with the flow. Feel the vibrations of the water but also of the whole life who started from this world. You can now come back, they are allowing you to return to the human world. And from this moment, you will always remember that the source of life is the water.

Into The Abyss #041 | Fran Acosta

Fran Acosta, born in Malaga and resident in Granada since 2008, is when he became interested in electronic music. 

Lover and explorer of experimental, avant-garde and timeless sounds, in his sets you can find very diverse soundscapes, from IDM, broken beats, techno, d&b... always looking to surprise the listener in search of the most primitive reactions.

Currently, and since last year 2022, he starts the project Klub Collective together with his friends Isidro Bolivar (Utopian) and Antonio Moreno (Kaizen), thus initiating in the south of Spain, a new trend focused on electronic club music where they share booth with national and international artists.

He does not consider himself an artist but a music lover in continuous movement.
