This is the recording from an event I recently did here in Sydney.  My friend and incredible house dancer Robin Chen reached out asking whether I would be interested in playing for 90 minutes in an upcoming house dance battle.
I've always wanted to play music for these guys to watch how they react to the sounds and the flow of my sets, so I said yes.
On the day 40 of the cities best house dancers showed up for the cities inaugural house dance battle.  I tried to play a diverse range of beats to give the dancers something different to connect with over the 90 minutes.  Secret judges picked out dancers to compete in a last 16 battle format.
It was so cool watching the room move almost as one to the sway of the rhythm.  Most people when they dance have at least one foot on the ground at all times.  With these guys it almost feels like the opposite, they appear to float and glide.  When you have a room full of people moving like that it's surreal.  So graceful, almost other worldly.
It gives me great pleasure to be able to share the set with you here so you can recreate with your crews, or simply enjoy the journey while on your way to work or at the gym.
Already looking forward to future events.  Thanks to Robin and crew for making this a reality.
Look out for upcoming warehouse gatherings to bring the music and all dancers together under one house.
