We are back with our second vinyl release, featuring Byron's "Love 4 Music." This 4-track EP is a celebration of love, with Side A and Side B showcasing two distinct styles where Byron truly shines. Side A delivers the club hits, while Side B envelops us in a soulful/R&B/deep house vibe.

Kicking off Side A is "Creepin' With U." The track begins with haunting chords that exude an eerie and raw vibe, swiftly leading into a thumping, club-certified kick drum. As the song progresses, a hint of nostalgia from the lo-fi days creeps in, complemented by vocal samples that add to the eerie atmosphere. Yes, it's eerie, but it's also robust and captivating—perfect for enticing bodies to move on a warehouse dance floor.

Next up is "Work That Girl (Tribal Mix)," the heavyweight of the four, tailor-made for the club/warehouse scene. The track starts with the clicking and clacking of hats and snares, Byron's vocals weaving in and out of the mix. The lyrics are crafted for a sweaty night of dancing, and as the kicks thump in, the energy rises. Byron's trademark chords seamlessly ooze into the mix, uniting our bodies with the song. Acid-sounding notes eventually lead us in and out of the groove—a solid club anthem.

Flipping over to Side B, we're greeted by "Inner Visions," where Byron slows things down and takes us in a different direction. A classic synth line initiates the track with a smooth kick, creating an airy vibe that melds perfectly with its melody. As the song grooves, Byron's soulful vocals pierce through, infusing warmth into his words. The warmth persists as the song progresses, with his voice echoing slightly more dissonance, leaving us with a proper vision for the closing track.

Closing out the EP, Byron guides us with a vision for a fun night in "Make Me Feel." Deep with a touch of R&B, the song exudes warmth and is all about feeling good with the person who got you through the night. Byron's sultry voice sits perfectly on the track as the basslines guide us through. His playful nature keeps things light and fun, rounding off the EP on a high note.

Low Recordings presents its latest EP, a 12” with two definitive sides recorded by underground fog dwellers, Earth Boys.

Michael Sherburn and Julian Duron’s 15th release is a quintessential eBoys listening experience, where headphones, car stereos and club systems are created equal.

’Cold World E.P.’ gets right to the point with moody locked synth grooves and warm tape noise between two uncomplicated, almost stark melodies, giving any true fan a familiar feeling.

Drums take a back seat, heavy leads swell and vocal samples leap right out of the discount bin—as they always have—Earth Boys maintain a conscious balance between deep feeling, focused production and fun.

Title track ‘Cold World’ is a swirling, ghostly nose dive, with punchy bass hits and an odd looping arrangement designed to get listeners in the zone. A2 ‘Sad Boys’ is a casual, nonchalant, head bobbing drum loop that weaves though Earth Boys’ typical holy trinity of chiller sounds—soft leads, wind instruments and deep bass.

Side B kicks in the doors of the club starting off with ‘In The House’, a subtle yet massive 909 assault, with hard hats, hazy synths and a vintage rolling bass line. ‘Feel So Good’ is another dip into the rich lineage of Earth Boys’ more candy coated tracks such as LSD, I Just Love It, and Be Happy With Who You Are—a proper dance floor number. Let's also not forget the smooth remix that Detroit legend, Rick Wade, throws down.

Overall the EP feels like a brief survey of the New York producers’ musical repertoire, another day, another eBoys record, but as always, freshly rolled joints just hit a little different.

VCF is Ricky Tinez's latest project and one he holds close to his heart where he explores sound recordings of his own with digital synthesis and samples from TV, adverts, and whatever else. His releases are few and far between but always high quality as he prefers to focus on getting each one absolutely perfect. 

Up first is 'J05', a deep and dubby house groove that's humid and atmospheric, with steamy pads and vinyl crackle all aging it to perfection. Next comes 'E06', a superbly vibe-fuelled wedge of well swung house music. The raw drums are embellished with warm and authentic chords while razor sharp hi hats and funky little guitar riffs add vital detail. 

Captain Supernova, a fictional Astronaut created by composer and arranger Eric Borders, then features on 'Breadkrumz.' This one has jazzy key playing tumbling down over the perfectly smooth drum loops and meaning bass. It's classic house with a contemporary air of cool that works on both head and heel. 

Remixing is Cromie, the Peach, Amadeus and Freerange associate who has a musical house sound that is all his own. Here he flips 'E06' into a busy and bristling track with sci-fi synths and streaming pads, noodling jazz riffs and a punchy beat that oozes funk.
