Having already geared up for the release of their long-awaited third studio album later this year, electronic outfit Ishi have now returned to unveil the new Oliver Nelson remix for their latest captivating single ‘Lo-fi Love Affair’.

Producer Oliver Nelson may be from Sweden and has released music and remixes on various power houses in the EDM world, but he’s far from the kind of bottle-servicey house music mafioso that those things might imply. He’s got a taste for vintage disco and a subtle sensibility that have helped him rework tracks by Tove Lo, Justin Timberlake, Marina and the Diamonds and even Whitney Houston into rubbery electronic funk that avoid the full-blast sensory overload that a lot of pop-oriented dance music falls into. He has also collaborated with the likes of Kygo, Todd Terry, Zayn, The Kooks and many more, delivering a wildly eclectic array of offerings throughout his career.

Ishi is a high energy electronic band from Dallas, TX with influences of soul, funk, and folk to electro, techno and house. They thrive on creating a positive atmosphere that allows their audience to let loose & express themselves.

Fans have been waiting eight long years for the next album and is expected to drop in Autumn 2021 under Swedish Indie Label Icons Creating Evil Art, the home of Flora Cash, Summer Heart, and Glamour Hammer. It will be titled ‘Sweet Gold’ and feature the hit singles ‘Not My Girl’ and ‘Lo-Fi Love Affair’. This record can only be described as an infusion of funk and soul with a touch of electronic production. A true journey in time through music and some of the greatest musicians in the world.

Ishi’s ability to successfully walk the line between an ambitious studio act and a multi-sensory live experience allows them to engage their audiences in an uplifting celebration of life. Following the successful release of the Yuksek remix of 'Not My Girl' (supported by the likes of A-Trak, Kiss FM, Ministry of Sound, Amazing Radio etc.) Ishi now release the Oliver Nelson’s remix of ‘Lo-fi Love Affair’ on the 14th May via Icons Creating Evil Art.
