Our dear friend and creator of one of our favourite albums (biased?) of the year 'Kaizu' blesses us with a top-drawer mix that perfectly compresses his refined style into a one hour session. As a selector for multiple record stores including the infamous Sound Metaphors, the Berlin based 50% Cubano, 50% Japanese producer, DJ and karate blackbelt is an expert in the acidic, trippy and thoughtful strains of dance music. One would only have to indulge in Priori's impressive back catalogue to attest to his consistent quality but evolution of style and creative flow. Seeing Francis play multiple times on his recent tour to Australia really cemented all of this for me.- one of the best in the biz!

Stripped back and bony funk. The residue and distant memories of a party.
Closing your eyes, still not dark. A lighting rig under your lids. A night lasting 20
years, falling asleep with your favourite song on repeat. The deconstructed,
untangled memory lingers in your system. What you hear are the remnants of a
social gathering and its body movements.
KMOS. The fog machines are gone, the free deconstructed thinking laid out bare.
Fourth album. The white noise funk still here, 4 to the floor and gnarly basslines.
The jazz but the tight, the funk but the taut. The austere but the flow. The
instruments, sinuous and intricate. The deconstructed dancefloor. Sawed up bits,
sawed up pieces. The drums the strings the claps the sharpness. Rearranged,
picked apart. organized for a new day. A new idea. A new blueprint. A brave

KASSEM MOSSE NEEDS TO FEEL MIX

A Psychic Yes is the alias of British, Berlin based artist, carpenter and DJ, Timothy Crombie. Timothy has released records on some of the most interesting and out there labels at the moment, most recently Nummer's self titled imprint and the ever impressive, ear to the ground; Kalahari Oyster Cult. His music touches off blends of percussive UK techno stylings with a nod to DIY bleep and yet has an air of leftfield ambient if that makes any sense? Either way, its with these stylings too that Timothy constructs sets, be it live or DJ, with these inspirations in mind and takes Off The Record 38 into similar patterns.

One of the minds behind the inimitable NYC record label @inciensorecs, DJ'J aka @jennyslattery is a curator at heart, carefully sculpting the look, feel and sound of the label she began with Anthony Naples back in 2017 while establishing her own blueprint as a top-tier selector of deep dance rhythms from around the globe. She's also one of the three DJs behind the wonderful @down-2-earth mix series, a local music hub with a heavy focus on emerging talent from New York City and beyond.

Immerse yourself in hour of chunky grooves and mysterious moods with plenty of freshly sliced cuts from the Incienso inner sanctum alongside some bonafide UKG and rave nostalgia!

With purest delight, I'm so excited to welcome Pjenné of Passing Notes Radio & Companion (@companionmelb) for the latest episode in our series. Penny's curatorial expertise and long-standing dedication to the Naarm/Melbourne scene have established her as a pillar of the city's sonic landscape, and both her love of musical discovery and unmistakable influence are felt deeply from afar. 

Pjenné's mix is a enchanting trip through fields of wonder, equal parts honey and gossamer, moving and blissfully sublime. Tender hues paint the air while fervent warmth fills the aching heart. There are few selectors out there with a repertoire as consistently profound as Penny's, and yet one feels we've barely scratched the surface of what's to come. Thank you Penny!

For Trushmix 206 LNS and DJ Sotofett are back!  This time in full effect as a joint force. A mix they originally did for Bleep, called "The Reformer Mix Vol. 1". This is one hour of extravagant mixing, vinyl and edited into a exciting and genre spanning trip, full of energy and strong twists. As the artists states themselves:

For "The Reformer Mix Vol. 1" we wanted to change it up a bit from our other mixes that are either straight forward, or live recorded in the club. We used two Technics 1200's and recorded a longer mix session, then edited everything down, mixed in live overdubs with turntables, added vocoder melodies, and also a proper amount of shout outs. The idea was to present a highly condensed mix that still has the raw live feeling we love from playing records in the club. With more than 30 tracks in about 55 min we're using some of our favourite cuts, moving through our biggest influences from House, Techno, and Electro, mixing all with a solid base in Hip-Hop.
