Breathe in breathe out

I got the call up from the legend @staywise-1 to close out the front room at Revolver Upstairs for her recent event 'Shadows'. Playing 6am-7am coming in from Techno and playing fast and hard into the last half of my set where i was able to play some epic closing tracks i've wanted to for a very long time. Thanks to the Dancing punters who were there till they turned the lights on! and Thanks so much Steph and @revolverupstairs for the opportunity to play a beautiful and memorable closing set in such an amazing club. Handsdown of the duo Handsdown & Leigh Boy has a musical journey spanning over a decade, throwing parties of all sorts and delivering an uncompromising plethora of progressive and emotive minimal & techno to dance floors right around the globe. 

Spearheading the Euphorie Bezirk brand, parent to the notoriously debaucherous Disco 2000 party series and festival favourites - the duo have recently brought the pairs signature sound to Rainbow Serpent Festival, Picnic Electronik, Strawberry Fields, Elrow, Babylon Festival, Elements , Subsonic, The Petting Zoo, The Pleasure Garden, Paradigm Festival, Esoteric, Carl Coxʼs PURE as well as residency at the fabled Tramp Bar for nearly 10 years.

After another huge festival seasons in oz and successes from their record label Euphorie Bezirk which has had its first 5 releases in the Beatport charts + a number one, the duo set their sights on a big year in the studio - with several charting releases of their own on their imprint as well as established European labels such as Dense Audio, Alula Tunes, Techgnosis, and Alpakka, all the while writing music for a fresh set list all original for 2022 - with some huge releases on the horizon including a debut EP on the legendary Ibogatech.

My midnight to 1am set from Recovery Collectives takeover at the infamous Grand Cafe in Lagos, Portugal.

This was my first international gig and I was so excited to have been given the opportunity to play.
The set is a special one as I was given an unreleased track from good friend and talented producer YAKØ, to open with.

In September, I was fortunate enough to close up the Red Moon Renegade 5th Birthday Unce. Here's the recording. 

This set was a true testament to my craft as a DJ. My intention was to captivate the crowd, keep the energy fun so anyone thinking of going home, would be drawn right back to the music. 
I was so gee'd up, especially having the god damn crew rockin it at the front from start to finish.

With his passion for music cemented in from a young age, Dylan discovered the sound that has inspired him since in the wee hours of the morning of Rainbow Serpents market stage in 2012. 
It was then that he discovered the dark, melodic and heaving techno beats that has helped curve his taste in music. 

Through his journey in the ever evolving and deepening music scene; Dylan plays under the alias of ‘Lowtep’ and blends a mixture of emotive darker, driving techno with the Melbourne collective of ‘Capture’. He also mixes it up from time to time with a funky and heavier tech house vibe alongside another Melbourne crew known as ‘Rewired Rhythms’. 
During these escapades it has seen him play venues such as Revolver Upstairs, My Aeon, New Guernica, DaHa Bar, Lucky Coq and internationally at Grand Cafe and Stevie’s in Lagos, Portugal. 

From melodic breaks and bushy, chugging bass; combined with a mixture of dark, ethereal and emotional tones. Experience what Lowtep has to offer.
