After an experimental release of The Labor Day album back in December, Local-Mu12 officially drop their debut LP.  Local-Mu12 is a global collective of artists & producers founded by William “Fokis” Heredia in 2012. It stands for Local Musicians United 12 (12 stands for the year it was established 2012) and is a brotherhood forged on the foundation of the mutual understanding of succeeding. The idea was to pool their resources together and operate like a union: a professional organization constantly seeking ways to help each member of the collective move forward.  With members spanning from Groton, Connecticut to Arbon, Switzerland it's safe to say they cover a lot of ground. 

The album features Skyzoo, Rapper Big Pooh, Torae, Sadat X & GLC and is filled with songs based on the everyday joys as well as the trials and tribulations of life.  Production was handled in house by members Real McKoy (Sadat X, Black Rob, Cormega) MoodsandVibrations (Punchline, Bootcamp Click, RUN-DMC) and emcee/producer The 17th.

In August of 2009, Lower East Side natives Punchline & Fokis released an EP called The Appetizer.  The project was released in a unique way by 2Dopeboyz, KevinNottingham and HipHopGame each posting a different version of the EP.  Eventually all three versions were consolidated into one and became a full 10 song album.  The album was received very well and generated plenty of buzz without one video ever being released, until now.  Fast forward six years later and the duo decided to shoot a video for the single "Beware".  Directed by Eye Grustle Films, the video is a take on a 1950's classic horror film.  "I called Punchline up one day and said to him, yo I came up with a dope idea.  We should shoot a video for Beware, he heard the concept and said lets do it." - says Fokis.  Shot in what appears to be a forrest, the video is filled with dark horror and humor at the same time, very entertaining to say the least. What's my name is a hard hitting Boom Bap track produced by Charlemagne (of Natural Elements). The song is off Fokis' debut album MORE THAN ONE WAY which was released in 2005.  The single was released in 2002 on Vinyl and we now have some limited copies left of the original pressing.
