I'll never forget the first time I heard this remix, I was at the infamous Blind Tiger Warehouse Party In LA, it was about 3am and Johnjosé was on the decks killing it. We were all vibing, then out of nowhere comesd this "Bigger Than Prince:" edit that just knocked me on my ass. 

As always, I immediately whipped out my Shazam to grab the ID but was unsuccessful, seconds later Johnjosé points at himself and says "this is my new track!' and the rest is HISTORY! Gotta love it when the music speaks for itself. Johnjosé, you fucking killed it bud, phenomenal rework we're so happy to have on the label - DJ Susan

No stranger to the underground dance scene, Loyd got his first set of Technics back in 1991 at the age of 13 and has been in love with the scene ever since. 
His DJ career kicked off at the legendary Heart & Soul parties at the Pavillion in Woolwich, aged just 16, he learned his craft alongside some true British  royalty like Eddie Richards, Terry Francis, Nathan Coles, Dave Mothersole to name but a few. Since then classic parties have become a mainstay of his DJ career where his unique take of music moves effortlessly through many genres, while always maintaining a light sprinkling of soul, and without ever losing sight of its main purpose of keeping the energy high, getting people smiling and havin' it on the dance floor. With releases on Whore House, Blockhead Recordings and Stash Records, Loyd is mainly in the studio nowadays creating tracks and contributing to the the ever changing scene that is House Music.

Bootlegs and re-edits are where this boy's at though. If the systems tight, and the party's right then you might get a set of full on classics- but with a bit more welly to boot! 
His sets run smoothly between House, Tech, Breaks and Drum and Bass, but with always a cheeky nod to the Old Skool.Nowadays he can usually be found behind the decks at private weekenders like Serendipity and SMASH!, or in the studio with his production partner working on their own unique take on the ever changing genre that is House Music.
