Berlin based producer/dj <a href="https://soundcloud.com/adam-port">Adam Port</a> is one of the producers that we've been following since the early days of Discobelle, he is part of the premier labels within dance music - <a href="http://keinemusik.com/">Keinemusik</a> - but on this mix Adam strays away from his usual 125 bpm sets and instead gives us a stunning and eclectic mix of techno, dub, dancehall, hip hop, soul and even psychedelic rock that should be the soundtrack to your next day at the beach or when you're just chilling at home.

Jamaican Funk (Disco Tech Rework)

The moustache clad producer/dj @sammybananas started out in Boston together with a fella named Max as the duo Certified Bananas (they did a smashing mix for us in Discobelle back in 2006 called "Sweden On Blast").

Sammy moved down to Brooklyn, became part of the Fool's Gold Records crew, and continues to douse out magical, funky club jams both with his original production work and with remixes for big names such as Chromeo and Maroon5 that manages to pay respect to the classic house/disco sound but also stays ahead of the curve.

This mix for us in Discobelle was made at the same time as Sammy wrecked havoc on SXSW and WMC, we're super glad he took the time out to churn out one seriously amazing mix that should have you dancing well into the summer.

About the CD:
002 of the Classic Mix CD Series and yet another absolute stand out classic. After getting into house at around 15, I guess my only source of info was Danny Rampling's seminal LGDP (Love Groove Dance Party) Saturday nights on Radio 1. However I can't remember Carter getting much coverage on there, yet he, much like Danny Tenaglia seemed to have a level of legend unlike most. This CD cemented my love of house music with an all might smash in the face. The tempo, the bass, the disco, the filters, and fucked up vocals... this was heavyweight. Nothing could compete at the time. I'll always remember driving to college with my 2 nerdy class mates and insisting they played this CD in the car. I'm raving in the back and they are like "What the fuck is this shit, turn it down!". It's with immense pleasure that DJ's like Sneak and Carter seem to be booking all the massive clubs and parties again. I'm not so keen on the whole 'I'm a House Gangster' vibe... but this is as bad as it gets.
