No Bad Days with Hollick - February 2022

Solid Steel (9th May) Hour 1 this week is from Kowton, the Bristol based producer and Livity Sound label owner (alongside Peveralist and Asusu). The mix opens with German experimental musician Conrad Schnitzler and loaded with unreleased gems. As Kowton says "The mix is a snapshot of the kind of thing I've been playing recently: stripped back rhythms that work on the floor. New Pangaea, MMM, Tessela, Surgeon and bunch of other good stuff. Beyond that there's not much to say."
The latest release on Livity Sound features Pev / Kowton remixed by Ghost-202 and Beneath.

NORAD!!! What a club, what a crew!! Right from the start, it was clear that this huge brick room with the military grade Turbo soundsystem was a force to be reckoned with.

I was disappointed when I heard they would be closing their doors after the building sold, but thrilled at the invite to hop on the decks for one more sprawling marathon set..

As if the final night wasn't already banging enough, my old friend and all around music don Jesse Rose showed up at 2 am after his set across town, ready to throw down track for track until the lights came on. It was a fitting end to a space built on community and a boundless appetite for great electronic music.

We've known Sam Walker and Gavin Royce for years―we met through mutual friends, parties, and music biz jobs, which just so happens to be how they met one another―and figured it was high time we have them on LPH Radio. With releases on Crosstown Rebels, Moda Black, and Nurvous―as well as remixes for a grip of others―under their belts, Walker & Royce are riding high right now. We couldn't've invited them on at a better time: they've some exciting new tunes coming out soon and are about to embark on a three-month-long tour through Europe that will include some studio sessions as well.
