London producer Yosh continues his hot streak of putting out a twelve inch a month with typically breaksy, UK focused EP on Distant Horizons that further earmarks the emerging artist as one of the producers to watch in 2021.

Following releases on Time Is Now and an announcement on Desert Sound Colony’s Holding Hands sub-label, Yosh serves up four steppers that navigate us from the doors of the club to front left of the speaker. ‘Don’t Say’ is a fast cut of subby breakbeat-garage; the producer’s knack for emotionally stimulating vocal samples and peak-time basslines moving into the frame.

‘All That Acid’ gives squirming acid lines and stripped-back percussion, mutating the breaksy, UK energy into something more electro focused, and in doing so provides what could be the score for an old racing video game, before ‘Choose One’ takes us back into familiar Yosh territory with a cut of dreamy garage, with the odd dubby wobble for good measure.

We finish on a personal note with ‘Home’, a cut that epitomises that good feeling that can only come with returning to a place of comfort; relaxed atmospherics and 2-step rhythms providing the perfect warm up number.

Only one path would lead them all the way back down to the foot of the mountain, up amidst the clouds they were happy and peaceful looking down at the world below and all its wonder. It was time for them to take a second and make their choice. Who knew that to choose one might be so hard... 

Yosh is set to release a new EP on Distant Horizon, a fun filled garage and rave inspired affair destined to roar on big systems and blast in the speakers of small cars. This one is an ode to everything we love.

Navigating mystic, offbeat zones, Contact sets out his stall from the start. ‘Out of My Head (Into My Body)’ is as pristine as it is expansive, inducing trance states as trippy flourishes oscillate over driving rhythm in impeccable lysergic style. Then, with another dose of melt-on-the-mind groove, a radiant bliss-out arrives in the beautifully buoyant flex of ‘Sacred Mist’.
Taking its name from a part of the brain associated with emotional processes, ‘Amygdala Tongue Wobble’ propels into fractal introspection with dense, insistent pulse. Finally, ‘Optimystic’ finds Contact channelling new age spirits as he assumes the role of innerzone healer - wide-eyed downtempo to close things out.

Furious Frank returns to Butter Sessions with 'Ahora Sí'. The fully fledged house anthem is the result of a cross-continental collaboration with Barcelona based vocalist and producer Ivy Barkakati. 

We're treated to four versions of 'Ahora Sí', all tested and ready for the dance floor and those special moments! Kicking it off, Frank delivers his "Original Acid Mix". A deep, squelchy lurker with nods to late 80's and 90's house music, peaking with thick piano chords and Barkakati's deep Spanish vocals. On the 'Sunrise' mix, the piano and chords become the focus and set the mood for an uplifting journey, bolstered by the raw thump and jack of the drum machines. 

The flip side see's Barcelona based "IVAN" emerge with their version. The duo made up of Ivy Barkakati and Phran of Klasse Wrecks fame slow things down a touch, mangle the chords and inject the rhythm with flattering top-drawer percussion. Vancouver native D. Tiffany rounds the EP off with sub-heavy bass drops, hi-tek rhythms, euphoric vocal slithers and more stingin' acidic vibes.
