صلاة الله ســـــلام الله ............ على الهادى رســـــول الله
God’s prayers and peace be upon our guide the Messenger of God.

رأيت الناس أفــواجا ................... و بحر الحب أمواجـــا
I saw people in crowds and the sea of love in waves.

و دمع الشوق ثجّاجا .............. لحب فى رســـــــــــول اللهْ
Tears of loss are heavily falling for the love of God’s messenger.

فزرنا طاهر القـــلب .................. عظيم الجــــاه و القرب
We visited him whose heart is clean and who is noble and close to God.


و من وافاه بالحــــب ................. تملى من رســــــول الله
And whom is loved by God are satisfied by God’s messenger

صلاة الله ســـــلام الله ............ على الهادى رســـــول الله
God’s prayers and peace be upon our guide the Messenger of God.

و ليل الهجر قد ولى ........... و صبح الوصــــــــل قد هلا
The night of leaving has departed and the morning of being together came around.

و نور الوحي قد دلا ..........على الهـــــــــــادى رسول الله
The light of revelation guides us to the guide God’s messenger.

و نال القلب ما يرجو ............. و زاروا بعدما حجــــــوا
The hearts got what they hoped for and they visited the Prophet after finishing Hajj

وفوج بعده فـــــــــــــوج ................. سلام يا رسول الله
And a cluster after another pray on God’s Messenger

صلاة الله ســـــلام الله ............ على الهادى رســـــول الله
God’s prayers and peace be upon our guide the Messenger of God.

تراهم فى مصلاهم ................. إله العرش أعـــــــطاهم
You see them in their mosques and Lord of the throne rewarded them

حبيب الله يلقـــــاهم ............. وقد زاروا رســـــــول الله
God’s beloved one will meet them, and they visited God’s messenger

و غفران و أســرار ................ لمــــن للمصطفى زاروا
Forgiveness and secrets are given to those who visited the chosen one.

عليهم تبدوا أنـــــوار ............. من الهادى رســــول الله
Lights shine on them from the guide God’s messenger.

صلاة الله ســـــلام الله ............ على الهادى رســـــول الله
God’s prayers and peace be upon our guide the Messenger of God.

و شمس الدين تهدينــا .............. إلى الخلاق بـــــــارينا
The sun of religion guides us to our Creator

رسول الله داعيـــــنا ................. أتينا يا رســــــول الله
God’s messenger invited us, and we came O God’s Messenger

و نلنا غاية القــــرب ................. بتوفيــق بلا حــجــب
We attained the goal of being very close to God without barriers

و زرنا سيد العــرب ............ أبا القاسم رســــــول الله
And we visited the Lord of Arabs Abu al Qasim God’s messenger.

صلاة الله ســـــلام الله ............ على الهادى رســـــول الله
God’s prayers and peace be upon our guide the Messenger of God.

سلونا حــب ما يفنى ......... و عند المصــطفى ســـرنا
We are consoled with an endless love, and we went to the chosen one.

و وصل القلب قد نلنا ....... من الهادى رســـــــــول الله
Our heart connected with our guide God’s messenger.

صلاة الله كالقــــــطر ............ على المختار ذى اــذكر
Prayers from God are like the rain upon the chosen one who is frequently mentioned.

و صحـــب سادةٍ غُرِّ .............. و آلٍ مــن رســــول الله
And upon the noble pious companions and the family of God’s messenger.

Emptyingthecup has dedicated this piece of Salawat to his late father, Uncle Abdul Hameed, may Allah be pleased with him. Below is Emptyingthecup's message, in short:
"
Dedicated to my late father, Abdul Hameed, who has passed away this last Thursday, February 10th, 2022 (Rajab 9, 1443). Allah has called His servant back to Him; “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.” May he be dressed in the lights of Muhammad ﷺ.

"Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet ﷺ: O ye that believe! Send ye blessings on him ﷺ, and salute him ﷺ with all respect."

"When Muhammad ﷺ sends Salawat upon the believers, it indicates his prayer for their welfare, blessing and salvation."

To send blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ is to receive blessings from him ﷺ. It is the process of manifestation of blessings and purification of the soul through connecting our hearts with his ﷺ. 

And this reality is mentioned by Imam 'Ali كرم الله وجهه when he says "the human being is a small universe, and the universe is a large human being" and "you think you are a small entity [microcosm], but within you is enfolded the entire Universe [macrocosm]" The understanding is that this pertains to the Universal Intellect, the First Being (al-awal al-aql) created by God with His 'two hands', which are represented in the male Principle of Power and the female Principle of Knowledge. 

The Insan al-Kamil is the Universe awakened through the modality of the self from which emerges the Perfected Man. This reality is epitomized in the Prophet ﷺ. 

The Prophet ﷺ, described as The Book, contains this Universal Knowledge, and thus possesses the qualities of perfect clarity and conduct, and the perfect performance of good deeds. Such a being is one who necessarily is a Universal Teacher, a World Teacher, and thus he ﷺ was known as the one who trains and leads all to Enlightenment, both human and heavenly beings, and guides to safety and salvation, for he ﷺ is also known as al-Shafi (the Intercessor). Standing without equal as the world-honored one, as the Unexcelled Worthy, Divine Love permeates and illuminates his ﷺ Being. 

The spiritual path is one that is rooted in Tradition, and Tradition is that which connects the holy people down through the Adamic generations of material existence back to that original flame of Divine Light. This flame of Divine Light is the essence of the Muhammadan light. It is a golden flame that burns with the ecstasy of Divine Love. 

Ubai bin Ka’ab said, "Then I said to him, 'Oh Messenger of Allah ﷺ, I supplicate often, so how much of my supplication should I devote to you?’ The Prophet ﷺ replied, 'as you desire'. I asked, ‘a quarter of it?’ He said ‘as you desire, but if you were to increase upon this, it would be better for you.’ I asked, ‘half of it?’ He said, ‘as you desire, but if you were to increase upon this, it would be better for you.’ I asked, ‘two-thirds of it?’ He said again, ‘as you desire, but if you were to increase upon this, it would be better for you.’ Finally I asked, ‘and if I dedicate my supplication in its entirety to you?’ He said, ‘then your needs will be satisfied, and your sins forgiven.’

When you regard your Heart as Holy, as the sanctified place of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, then you will regard it with respect; and thus is born self-respect. Now there is obligation and duty towards it, towards the Holy Prophet ﷺ; and thus there is born confidence and boundaries. 

The salawat is an invitation to the Holy Prophet ﷺ to enter your Heart thereby sanctifying it with his worship of Allah. It is thus a type of consecratory act that has initiatic significance. It is an initiation onto the path of metaphysics and into the inner circles of the Prophetic Tradition.

Here's a little gift for all of you as Ramadan/Ramzan enters my blessed city - Brampton, and the Greater Toronto Area.

This is a 34-minute track of 100 repetitions of the Salat Al Fatih -- one of the most well known and beloved forms of salawat/durud, for sending peace and blessings upon The Prophet (ﷺ).

The purpose for this was manifold -- to assist people in doing a litany (wird) of 100 repetitions while, say, driving, when they are unable to actively keep count; to have a track of blessed remembrance that our babies can fall asleep to; to assist people in memorizing it in home and school settings; etc.

The tune has been based on the Tijani recitation of Salat Al Fatih that I had first heard from my dear friend and awesome poet, Amir Sulaiman.  Also featured on this track is another dear friend, the Muslim Chaplain at the University of Toronto, Sidi Amjad Tarsin.

If this has been done with sincerity, and I hope that it has, then this will insha'Allah find uses among its listeners that I had never expected or anticipated.  I would *love* to hear from all of you as to how you have used this track.

الفاتِحِ لِمَا أُغْلِقَ و الخاتِمِ لِمَا سَبَقَ

و الهَادِي إلى صِرَاطِكَ المُسْتَقِيمِ
