The Munich based duo Coeo are the stars of our fourteenth release. Florian Vietz and Andreas Hopfl have presented us with three original tracks with nice and special character. Closer EP is definitely a landmark release for us at Lagaffe Tales which challenges us to follow up with this new standard in the following future. The title track Closer is the star of the release. What stands out if the great percussion work and hauntingly beautiful vocal sample, whispering into our ears. As if the original track was not enough, we were lucky to get one of our biggest influences; Lay-Far to remix the track. The remix takes the percussion work to the next level and still staying true to the original mix. Lay-Far does not disappoint and makes sure that we connect memories we hold dear to the track. Mind Games is a beautiful piece with a tight baseline and enchanting piano atmosphere.  The duo bring to the table another beautiful piano sampling piece in the third track Timid Dancer. The whole EP has encouraged us to work harder and to grow in the right direction as a label.

For the fourth Outplay vinyl release we welcome Laurence Guy to the family and have Brame & Hamo on remix duties. It’s paired with two originals by Outplay's own Junktion and Daniël Leseman.
Laurence delivers a wonderful synth driven opener with “Strings Attached”. While Junktion brings his familiar grooves with the jazzy “Breakfast at Midnight”, Brame & Hamo flip it into a dubby stomper to heat up the floors. Daniël Leseman gets to round up the EP with his warm and melodic “On My Mind”.

For today's exclusive premiere, Amsterdam's Melon dons his Je Dàvu guise to bring 'Don't You Need', a stomping disco work-out that's been heavily rinsed by San Proper and the select few who've been lucky enough to receive a copy over the years.

Fellow Amsterdammer Uffe then unleashes the jazzy, shapeshifting 'Keepon' nearly 50,000 SoundCloud plays later. Vilnius hotshot Ponty Mython goes deep and cute on his woozy, melodic 'Still Afraid Of Bats'. Monologues fave Thorsteinssøn rounds off the package with the chunky, tribal-tinged 'Bang' from his Copenhagen workshop.
