Ruinas

This is a collection of 5 transcriptions I made which have been performed on 3rd September 2016 in Bassano (Tronzano L.M., VA, Italy) by Trio Luzzani (Enea Luzzani - Flute, Arianna Luzzani - Violin, Gabriele Luzzani - Cello). All of them are live recorded, but you will notice that by yourselves.

Rossini Gioachino - Ouverture To La Scala Di Seta (Trio)

This piece is not mine, yet I find it very personal. What you hear is just an orchestration exercise. 
Composed by the great Robert Alexander Schumann, it finds its place in the "Album for the Young" (Album für die Jugend), a collection of easy piano pieces, and it is usually given to the early players to be studied. This is how I came across this music, a few years ago. 
All I did was taking the original piano score and simply assigning melody and accompaniment to the instrumental sections I felt suitable, in order to reach a certain sound. I know there is more I could do to improve the final effect in terms of both orchestration and audio, but I considered this as an exercise.
I am glad to share a part of my past with who listens.

R. A. Schumann - Album für die Jugend, Op.68, n°8 "Der Wilde Reiter" (Orchestral Arrangement)

Here's three of the tracks I transcribed for Trio Luzzani, a small ensemble of musician composed by Enea Luzzani (flute), Arianna Luzzani (violin) and Gabriele Luzzani (cello). All of these tracks have been performed live on September 2nd and 11th.
Trio Luzzani's level is superb and listening to one of their live performances really is amazing. This is our second collaboration and working with such talented musicians (and great friends) is a real blessing.

These tracks have been professionally recorded in a church called "Oratorio della Madonna del Latte" in Gionzana, near Novara.

PS: I do not own any rights on Morricone's "Love Theme" from Cinema Paradiso, it's a transcription I do not earn any money from.

Justice and Sorrow

Orchestral arrangement of Tapion's theme, written by Shunsuke Kikuchi for the Dragonball OAV "Dragonball Z: Wrath of the Dragon".
Basically, I picked the theme, played with harmonies and added a few parts. Voilà!

Tapion's Theme (Orchestral Arrangement)

An orchestral arrangement of a famous traditional Scottish tune to both honour the days I spent in Scotland and thank the amazing people I have met there.
The first time I heard this theme I was struck by its simple effectiveness and I just could not take that tune out of my head: it has been incubating for almost one year. 
With this track, I hope I can share even a tiny bit of the sense of freedom I felt while roaming over the Highlands.

Highland Cathedral (Orchestral Arrangement)

Hearing 8-bit sounds brings me back to my childhood, when I used to spend hours on my yellow Game Boy Color trying to complete my pokédex in Pokémon Blue. Friends and relatives, later on, gave me the two missing versions of the game (Red and Yellow) as presents, as witnessed in the picture.  I eventually managed to complete the bloody pokédex LOL

This arrangement is a tribute to that past time.

Also, I exploited this spark of nostalgia to try out my brand new ICONICA sound library by Steinberg. It's impressive how well and realistic it sounds, even with almost no mixing and mastering at all! Steinberg did an amazing work!

Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow Opening Jingle (Orchestral Arrangement)

Even though I am not a great pianist (in fact this track is played by my DAW, for your ears' sake LOL), of all the music I've played, ragtime is one of the genres that involved me the most: I could literally not keep my smile away from my face while playing. Here, I tried to compose my first ragtime starting from the first two bars of Scott Joplin's "The strenuous life". 

The title refers to the first mark I received at the new University I am now attending (17/30, definitely not a good one). I found that situation tragicomic: the most suitable soundtrack for such a moment could not have been any different from this one LOL

There's not much to say about this music, except I think it fully represents me and my taste: I have put everything I like the most into it. 
It all began with me thinking "I want to write a ten-minutes-long track" and, after quite a while, this is what I came up with.

A collection of ragtime piano pieces I wrote. This playlist will eventually grow in time, as more ragtime compositions are incoming!

No big assumptions with the playlist name: I only laughed like crazy when I came up with the name LOL

The audio I used comes "straight outta MuseScore", and I am perfectly ok with that - I will re-upload the tracks once I will have found the time to properly record myself or somebody playing them
