We’re delighted to welcome Klippee into the CIA fold, and he bounces his way right through the door with three tracks of pure heat with his brand new ‘Raw EP’. 

The Seattle native has been making sonic waves for a bit of time now and we’ve been impressed with what we’ve heard. His ‘Raw EP’ showcases exactly the kind of vibes that have been getting his tracks into the record boxes of some of the scene’s top selectors as he comes with weighty bass and tight drums, but always that bit of funk or that jungle vibe that makes him a great fit for CIA. 

All of the tracks have quite a specific sound and feel to them - meaty yet classic breaks, big pulsating bass, and some choice samples to keep them moving. But it feels like Klippee is already carving himself quite a niche and quite a sound - one that’s going to do the damage on the floor and be sure to see his tracks getting some heavy rotation for quite some time to come.

This project is an important one. Its represents Patife'sre-found love for the game that was re-ignited by a trip to the SUNANDBASS festival. In his own words, DJ Patife tells how and why he felt so inspired.

'From 2009 to 2013, I was away from the industry due tomarriage, kids and other personal stuff, but also I'd stepped away from thescene because at that time I wasn't so happy about the music that was outthere. A lot of things was changing and I it seemed like a natural time for meto take a break.

Then in 2014, I had my first SUNANDBASS experience, itwas a game changer for me in so many ways! As a Drum & Bass lover, it washard to believe that for a whole week an event took place in a paradise namedSan Teodoro in Sardinia (Italy). An event full of people who love this musicfrom all around world, all alongside those legends who've been in this scenesince the beginning'

As a person who loves to share, I thought about my boysin Brazil who have been following and supporting D&B all these years. I wastrying to find a way for all of them, or at least a few of them to come toSUNANDBASS, and to see and feel what I was feeling'

... and thats exactly what he did. Viva Brazil: SUNANDBASSSessions is a beautifully compiled ode to the SUNANDBASS festival, but also Patife's love of Drum & Bass. This exciting project kicked off last month with 'The Vibe Is Coming EP' EP that was released on both digital and vinyl on SUNANDBASS's own label with a selection of tracks that can also be found here.

The tracks on this compilation are fresh and new but they also manage to capture the essence of the first time you went raving in thesun. This album is a labour of love for Patife, SUNANDBASS & V Recordings.
