Selects returns with their sixth instalment on Demand Records, this time with homegrown music. All artists are either parts or complete Swiss. First off Qbig & Zenith B. No need for any introduction. They have been at the forefront of swiss Drum & Bass in the last year or two and 'Tanoke' underlines that! Dayni and Kenobi are stalwarts of the swiss drum & bass scene. Both have been active for almost 2 decades and deliver a furious virus esque roller with 'One Eyed Jack', while the brothers Yves & Simon, who form Konfront.Audio, treat us with some tech in 'Wrapped Up' which switches effortlessly from soothing to dirt. To round off we serve you 'Shunyata' by Subsequence a chilled & deep outing by the Zurich native. Forget cowbells and chocolate, this is the real deal!

The long awaited 'Detroit Haze EP' by Submorphics will soon be released on The North Quarter. With lazy Rare Groove aesthetics, the project sees the well-travelled producer showcase his Detroit heritage to the fullest. Although Submorphics is an artist known throughout the Drum and Bass industry for his consistency in both style and quality, Detroit Haze cements his true musical coming of age. Having earned his stripes in the USA as both a producer and esteemed DJ, he now takes the spotlight as an authentic man of music. DJ Marky is really ramping up the pressure from his Innerground imprint, this time in the shape of a release from the man himself.

Launching with Should I, we get a beautifully constructed track, custom-built for summer and screaming INNERGROUND from start to finish. A leisurely intro quickly gives way to a sublime bassline littered with the kind of vocal that has become synonymous with the Brazilian marque. 

Next up we have Love Break, which levels up the energy and intensity without breaking from it’s “liquid” stride. Another well-thought-out production that has many, if not all, of the elements you might look for in a Drum & Bass track – liquid-tinged darkness that has the uncanny ability to not only move you, but surprise you at the same time.

“Should I/Love Break” continues DJ Marky’s tradition of creating some of the most seminal tracks in the genre and his knack for building releases drenched in summer vibes all year round.
