For this very unique event, the featured artists will collaborate in tribute to the extraordinary career of vibraphonist Roy Ayers and his influence and contributions to contemporary urban music.

To bridge the gap, The Robert Glasper Experiment featuring Chris Dave on Drums, Derrick Hodge on Bass & Casey Benjamin on Alto/Vocoder will perform sequences between Roy Ayers selections transition them into Pete Rock productions that were created from his musical influence. The live reinterpretations and interpolations of both works serve as the conduit to understanding the harmonic relationship between the past and present.

This track is literally about getting high on the cannabis drug on an international flight. No I have never personally done that. It's all in fun, play or fantasy. I am not advocating the use of any illegal narcotic, however, I do feel that cannabis, 420, weed or whatever you wanna call it should be decriminalized and also made legal in it's recreational use, because alcohol IS legal and far more damaging and destructive.
