Highly inspired by the textures of the vaporwave sonic aesthetic, our 16-track compilation displays in turns intriguing sound design, graceful synths from a new age, weird exotics and psychoactive slow-dubs.
Designed to please either curious or skilled ears, our various paves the way for a 90-minute mind wandering in distant, fantasized realms. 'Aggelos first approached Lurid Music with the idea for this project a few months ago. We agreed on one condition, that all proceeds be donated to refugee causes, like we did with his Black Sea EP which supported the Syrian refugee crisis. When Russia invaded Ukraine, we decided our focus had to be helping the Ukrainian refugees who were forced to leave their homes in search of safe havens abroad.

We discussed this with most contributors to the project and the consensus was that donations should strictly go to humanitarian groups and not any armament funds. There were also some thoughts about helping conflict-affected peoples in other parts of the world but we decided it was too much to tackle for a relatively small project like this one.

Therefore, donations stemming from the sales of this release will be distributed to the following humanitarian groups currently active in Ukraine or neighboring countries welcoming refugees:

A Strange Light From Outside (Philipp Otterbach Rework)

Ladislav Zensor deviates from the Exhausted Modern moniker with his new project Oblaka, where he draws influences from and experiments with different musical directions to create a more deconstructed sound. 

Taking his unique signature to new heights, HACE offers a glimpse into genre-defying electronica, where mechanical club beats alternate between hazy introspection. The LP features three Czech artists, with vocals from Anna Coranic and Arleta, and a joint composition with Ancestral Vision. 

A cloud has formed from thin air we breathe. 
From the weather we alter but are unable to govern.

Based on home-generated samples, which he is happy to share when he is online (see LSB packsample), as a producer, deejay, or live performer, LSB's music is a sound-design practice, with a gourmet taste. Born in France, living in Belgium, LSB produces a bewitching downtempo industrial slash breaks music. Through different artists, including the compilations Vastedub Vol1 & 2 with Air LQD, Theo Muller, Antoine 80, Black Zone Myth Chant, Gil.barte or Warzou, the cassette label he founded in 2015, now occupies an important place in the electronic-industrial cassette scene, and has been a great influence for us. It is a great pleasure to announce that this record will be released in October 2022.
