In this episode of Merkaba Music, LU TZE shares with us a studio mix titled “Bringers of Dawn”, a selection of originals and remixes from his releases over the past year and a half. Imbued with futuristic landscapes and esoteric messages, this psychedelic dubstep and bass music mix carries Lu Tze’s profound wish for a collective new dawn. LU TZE is an electronic music project by Rodrigo Pereira. At 18, in 1998, he co-founded the psychedelic event organizers Quest4Goa in Portugal. By 1999, he had started DJing and co-founded the chill-out DJ collective Divine Mission, which featured in the lineup of Boom Festival 2000. In 2001, he became a core member of the Psychedelic Dream Temple (PsyDMT) in London, UK, performing extensively at countless psychedelic events across southern England for over a decade. In 2023, Lu Tze released his debut EP on the renowned label Merkaba Music, where he now has three releases.

For this episode, SOURONE has recorded a DJ mix for us. Michael Kalinowski, aka Sourone, is a Polish solo project exploring psychedelic and experimental electronic music. Rooted in IDM and glitch electronica, he has evolved his sound into a dancefloor-oriented fusion of minimal and psychedelic progressive, groovy tech, emotronic ambient, and squelchy-glitchy experimental IDM.  Dedicated to refining and pushing the boundaries of his unique style, he draws inspiration from music, the scene, travel, and art—always fueled by hard work and passion. With six glitch/downtempo EPs, three EPs, and two full-length psychedelic progressive albums on Zenon Records, Sourone continues to expand his sonic universe, contributing to numerous compilations across various labels and styles.

Lu Tze is an electronic music project by Rodrigo Pereira, who first fell in love with music production as a teen in the early 90’s after getting hold of a program called Scream Tracker 3. In 1998, at the age of 18, he became one of the co-founders of the psychedelic event organizers Quest4Goa in Portugal, and in 1999 co-founded the chill-out Dj collective Divine Mission, which was present in the line-up of Boom Festival 2000. In early 2001 he moved to the UK, and soon after became a Dj and core member of the crew at the Psychedelic Dream Temple (aka PsyDMT), based in Camden Town, London. For over a decade afterwards, his Dj sets surprised and moved the crowds in alternative areas of countless squat parties, clubs and festivals in the UK, blending music styles such as psychill, electro, progressive breaks, dubstep and progressive psytrance. Lu Tze is the creative blossoming of such blend, bringing forth alternative, syncopated, progressive and psychedelic music, and is since 2023 a part of the renowned label Merkaba Music
