When Leah from 2bscene hit us up to come play at sugar in Adelaide, the last thing we would have ever thought is that it would be the last set ever in the club. We found out the night before that sugar would be shutting its doors for good after the weekend - what an honour to shut down such an institution and give that condesa one last workout for the good people of South Australia. This set was recorded between the hours of 1-5am. Thanks to Leah for having us down <3 RIP sugs 2002-2025

Anemoia presents one of our favourite Berlin bookings - Hisashi (Snapout). Originally from Sendai, Japan, Hisashi spent a decade refining his DJ skills in Tokyo, making his mark on the city with regular appearances at Shibuya's KOARA and RED BAR—key venues in the Tokyo underground scene. His influence extends beyond Japan, having performed at Berlin's Club der Visionäre, Frankfurt's Silvergold, and Korea's MODECi. After a decade of experience behind the decks, he relocated to Berlin in 2022, where he co-runs the label "Snapout" with yama', Takashi Himeoka, and Riku Sugimoto. 



About this month's mix, he says: "This mix is a collection of records I don't usually play in clubs—mainly ambient, downtempo, IDM, and trip-hop from my home listening shelf. While I mostly collect house and techno, I've always had a deep love for slower, moodier sounds. D59B felt like the perfect place to share this quieter side of my collection."
