When writing "When Eagles Cry" I wanted to capture a certain feeling of nostalgia. Everyone has certain things, moments, sounds, smells etc. that makes them remember moments from their past. It's difficult to describe this feeling in words but personally I find it slightly depressive but positive and euphoric at the same time. The Eagles stand as a metaphor for the memories of the past that cry out when we encounter these moments of nostalgia... the smell of rain on asphalt, the neon lights that light up a city at night or weirdly for me architecture from the 80s.

"Huxley Havoc, a famous 80s movie star was on set for one of his upcoming films. Throughout the entire day he constantly had a feeling of being watched by someone. Then, in a short moment of solitude he was shocked by what he saw as he looked up at the sky. A giant silhouette of a face was hovering right above him. Not only was he confused because of what he was seeing, but also because of this strange feeling of familiarity that overcame him.
Now 40 years later, retired Huxley found a bundle of old VHS Tapes of "behind the scenes" - camera footage, which was recorded during this movie, in an old box. He decides to watch one of the tapes. At one point a high camera angle captures the particular moment where Huxley looked up at the sky...realizing that he was staring at his VHS Reflection."

"Fever" is a Synthwave/Retrowave track that takes you down nostalgic memory lane. The song was inspired by the video game craze that swept the world in the 1980s and people creating wonderful memories of those games throughout the years. It's a "Fever" that still infects you today.

"Ikigai" is a Japanese concept that basically means "reason for being". It's something that brings you joy. Synthwave brings me joy, and I'm sure many of you feel the same way. Question for you guys: What was the first song you heard that got you into Synthwave? 
One of the first songs for me was "City Lights" by the great Timecop1983 which ultimately became the inspiration for writing this song.
