Alexey Fon.Leman was so phenomenally prolific in original productions and remixes this year and it seemed he should have stopped bombing the scene with all those impressive releases. Moreover, his debut artist album is almost here, we can see the sings of his forthcoming long play on the horizon. But no, this Yekaterinburg-based producer from the Russian region of Urals has some extra surprises stashed, and once again he is ready to impress. Yet another premiere from Alexey is coming soon, this time it’s an original production – Fon.Leman continues to hearten his audience and lets Intricate Records release «Lynx Eye» very soon. As an additional weighty argument comes a remix by the prominent Australian producer Jaytech, who is responsible for A&R works on the worldwide-renown Anjunadeep label. «Lynx Eye» for me personally is a sort of graduate qualification work of 2013, my graduation thesis release, – Alexey explains responsibly. – I was doing my best to combine all the elements of today’s’ trends, to build up a quintessence of modern «flying» progressive sound. Inside this track you will hear all the specific details I was developing in my sound this year, these are rhythmic vocal cuts, solid house rhythms and progressive trance leads which also contain a tad of mysticism ».

One of Indonesia's brightest talents - LTN finds his way back onto Enhanced Progressive with his latest offering, 'Summer Place'. Having had a very successful 2013 with releases such as, Moments Between Us, Daylight and Electric Nature, LTN begins 2014 in true style.

This playful track has a dark breakdown with lush pads and piano riffs before it falls into the drop where rolling basslines and stilted beats drive the track to a more club orientated level.

Recently previewed on "Arrival 01: Destination United Kingdom", "In Between" from Indonesian artists LTN and Roni Joni now is featured alone as a single release, including "Haven Place" as the B-side. LTN is coming off a breakthrough year, as his music was featured consistently on numerous international radio shows, including Above & Beyond's "Group Therapy" and Myon & Shane 54's "International Departures".

The title track, "In Between", starts off with a firm groove, and subtle background melody layers build up slowly. A bright piano melody is introduced in the first break, joining the soothing pad layers perfectly. As the beat kicks back in, the energy is truly heightened, and the smooth bassline in the background definitely spices up the soundscape. The B-side, "Haven Place", quickly introduces a mesmerizing beat and bassline combination, as well as delicate piano stabs from time to time. Hypnotizing female vocal stems provide additional texture to the song, and in the break, a powerful theme lead emerges, which continues to dominate the track thereafter.

It has been a true joy to witness the rapid ascent of the exceedingly talented American artist eleven.five over the past 12 months, since his debut Silk release "Crispy." Thanks to a prolific output of quality uplifting progressive tracks, including the recent hit "The Way We Were" [Arrival], he has become a fixture on Above and Beyond's acclaimed "Group Therapy" radio show and has also been featured on Armin's "A State of Trance" in recent months.

We are thrilled to welcome him back to the imprint with "Freckles," his fourth contribution to Silk Music. This single comes equipped with a brilliant interpretation by label veteran Luiz B, as well as the B-side cut "Echo." The Original Mix of "Freckles" begins with a chunky groove, as well as a "flirtatious," flute-tinged synth hook, a central theme throughout the track. At the end of the first mini-break, we are also met with another motif: a gorgeously processed female vocal stab. Following this short break, a deep, yet swingy groove enters the track; it's a rhythm that truly dares you not to skip along and bop your head. In the main break, the lead melodic element of the song, a beautiful piano progression, is solo'ed. It's a truly gorgeous and poignant theme that is only enhanced by the re-emergence of the bassline groove.

On remix duty, we enthusiastically welcome back Brazilian sensation Luiz B, a veteran contributor to Silk who clearly intends to make a big splash in 2013 and beyond. His remix jets out of the gate on an energetic, peak-hour note. Meanwhile, a jubilant repeating chord increases in resonance, as lush pads and dancing arp lines fill out the euphoric soundscape. The beat abruptly drops out in the main break, making space for the stunning piano theme, accompanied by various nature-inspired effects. In the latter half of the break, the lead chord reappears and begins to crescendo, in the tradition of "classical" melodic progressive trance. We expect veteran fans of the genre to be greatly pleased with this effort by Luiz B, which strikes us a triumphant return to form.

The final track in the release is the deeper, more pensive "Echo." Seemingly drawing inspiration from the intriguing late-night soundtracks of Film noir, the song centers on various "after-hours" jazz effects, including an evocative saxophone motif. There is also a meaty low-end and rhythm section, which gives the track a full-bodied groove. In the main break, an ominous piano appears, perhaps indicating the protagonist's arrival at the crime scene. This cinematic and bold composition is another feather in the cap of eleven.five, who is quickly compiling an extensive and accomplished discography.

One of Silk Digital's leading lights, Shingo Nakamura, is responsible for our latest offering, "There For Me", which was initially previewed on Shingo's own "Only Silk 01" compilation. Since the debut of this album in late 2012, Shingo has become a co-host of the Frisky radio show of the same name and has continued to garner radio support from the industry elite.

The Original Mix of "There For Me" transports the listener to Shingo's homeland of Japan, with sweeping chords and stunning cinematic instrumentation from start to finish. This is truly one of Shingo's most inspiring works to date, as it not only possesses a warm groove, but an intricate and richly melodic lead.

Breakthrough artist KIWAMU offers the first of two interpretations in the single; a fellow Japanese artist, KIWAMU has gained momentum this past year, with a variety of high-profile contributions to Otographic Music, the nation's leading progressive and trance imprint. His version is much more atmospheric and deep, but equally evocative. In the main break, the listener feels himself traveling across the fog-swept landscapes of the Land of the Rising Sun.

Finally, longtime contributor Monojoke, who has been supported over the years by the likes of Above & Beyond, Solarstone, Matt Darey, and many more, offers an ornate rendering. The talented Polish veteran once again masterfully enhances the rhythm, with a variety of "indigenous" percussive elements. Meanwhile, in the background, we are treated to the distant echoes of the main chord progression, as well as provocative pads.
