Following hot on the heels of excellent three-track EP 'Sweat', Sailor & I presents the remix package to his latest single 'Leave The Light On'. Released on September 4th, it features rising and established producers alike in Park Hi-Hat, Joris Voorn, Kidnap Kid and Junior Sanchez, whose take on the track we'll be premiering today.

Junior Sanchez’s ever-evolving and forward-thinking style has always attracted positive attention from artists spanning all genres. Over the course of his career, Junior has produced and remixed material for Madonna, Shakira, Katy Perry, Good Charlotte, Placebo, The Bravery, Daft Punk, Gorillaz, Blaqk Audio, Hot Hot Heat, Roisin Murphy, Felix Da Housecat, The Faint, New Order, Emiliana Torrini, Jamiroquai, Giorgio Moroder, Moving Units, Les Rhythmes Digitales, and countless others. With the signing of Tale Of Us we added the shooting stars of the year to our festival‘s line-up. The Italian duo of Matteo and Karm has started to rewrite the rules of House Music about a year ago. Their mixture of House and Techno with dashes of Nu-Disco, Pop and even Rock elements is so impulsive and emotionally deep, that you will feel goosebumps all over your body. With their destinctive sound they are among THE Slo-Mo-house pioneers just next to the Wolf & Lamb family and Art Department. Meanwhile it has become almost a MUST to own a remix by them. Labels such as Kompakt, Life & Death, or Visionquest favour them as much as WhoMadeWho, DJ T., Thugfucker, GusGus and many more. We hope that Tale Of Us will continue to produce many more beautiful songs for us to enjoy and we really do look forward to a great set at FLY BerMuDa 2011.

Established house talent Harry Romero makes a standout debut on Rebellion with the ​Afro Horn​ EP, an impressive two track release made specifically for the label.

“I​ t’s always a great experience when you set your sights on a certain sound and outcome when you’re in the studio. ‘Afro Horn’ and ‘R.W.P.’ were created for Damian Lazarus. I’m glad he saw the vision and signed them to his Rebellion imprint as no other label could have done them justice! ‘Afro Horn’ is a straight up deep tribal experience framed around an African flute solo. I wanted to create a sort of beauty and the beast track with this.‘RWP’ is a bit more musically sophisticated with its moving keyboard parts and a real spaced out arrangement which gives it so much room to breath.”​ ​Harry Romero​.

Afro Horn​ starts proceedings in a tribal fashion. A well-rounded kick merges with resonant percussion, that takes the form of a rattlesnake’s tail, providing the track with an enigmatic, Saharan-like quality. ​R.W.P​ rounds off the release. Keyboard chimes fuse with a gentle up-and-down bassline, as ethereal chords are layered underneath to form an emotive dance-floor number.

A regular on the electronic music scene, ​Harry Romero​’s talent for adapting styles shows no signs of slowing down. Traversing the various incarnations of house music with ease, the US native has produced multiple EPs for Josh Wink’s Ovum Recordings as well as Yousef’s Circus Recordings; whilst his tougher, gritty productions have found a home on Tronic Music in the past. With an upcoming Essential Mix, Harry Romero is really beginning to cement his reputation as an esteemed and respected artist in the electronic music sphere.

Life and Death Podcast Number Two by Tale of Us is a true psychological menace for those who conceive dance music as a monotone sound attitude. It has been recorded LIVE (no ableton, no post-production) on Friday December 31st 2010. We decided to publish this great podcast right before Tale of Us debut in a Life and Death party in Milan together with Clockwork, Tennis, Thugfucker. 

Tale Of Us is the new unique Berlin based sound scape project of Karm &amp; Matteo Milleri.
Both originally hailing from outside of Europe, Karm was born in Toronto and Matteo in New York, they moved to Milan while very young and this is where they met and formed the working bond that they now share. At the moment they are living out of Berlin an inspirational frontier that is allowing them to enlarge their bonds.
Their music and productions are a mixture of new sounds and genres ranging from pop to house, nu/disco to rock with everything in between,that can make people dance feeling their deepest emotions come alive.

 
The first full debut release of the duo will be out on 'Visionquest' (Label of Seth Troxler, Ryan Crosson, Shaun Reeves &amp; Lee Curtiss) in Spring 2011 whilst tracks already appear on labels such as 'Barraca Music', 'Cocoon' and 'Life and Death'. Various collaborations took place in 2010 alongside fellow 'Visionquest' label mates Shaun Reeves &amp; Ryan Crosson for critically acclaimed remixes and EP's. In particular the Tale Of Us remix on 'Life and Death' (Thugfucker - Disco Gnome) has seen them achieve much praise, airplay and success in record sales.
