F*** me this brings back so many memories. 2017 EDC Las Vegas, got in my car and just drove, dying to see Illenium live on a world stage. I’m a dipshit so I came late and literally was hearing Illenium’s set from the outside while parking my car. Drank vodka, hopped the fence, ditched the insane level security, popped a Tesla, stayed out till the morning, met a bunch of people, evaded security in the morning and stayed on premises with a few good people I met. Left long after everyone else had cleared out, with my car being the only one on this massive parking lot. Got breakfast with my new friends, dropped them off, slept, and did it all again the next day. What a wild ride. I was sad, depressed, looking for meaning, looking for love, music being my antidote. Now I’m older, married with 2 children, I have a great life, no longer depressed, living with purpose and love. But I still look back at these times, and my heart longs to go back. What a bittersweet time. What a crazy youth.
