Nova is a term from the scientific field of astronomy. It describes the burst of brightness in a binary star system caused by a transfer of matter from one component to the other. During this process, enormous energies are released in form of explosions. This reactions leads to radiation in the optical and infrared spectral range. Therefore it‘s visible for human. Be it a terra-, aqua or supernova, all of these processes impressively end old conditions and create thereby something new. Nova is an eternal cycle of passing and coming into being. The first Remix Part of the Nova EP consists of three Remixes produced by Überhaupt & Außerdem, Feinheitsbrei and Savu. Feinheitsbrei presents his version of Aquanova with audible references back to the original complemented by his own touch. Originated in Ankara, Turkey; @ikarumusic gets its main inspiration from the timeless and placeless resorts of human culture, intertwined both with beats and notes of antiquity as well as the mind-bending bleeps of synth-scales. Insisting upon a genre-free overall style, the sound of Ikaru resonates within a range of eclectic electronic beats, indigenous acoustic instruments and psychedelic sloth-techno, sometimes revisiting an ambient, downtempo style.
In its essence, Ikaru seeks for a music that is "capable of expressing the inexpressible after silence" in Huxley's words.

Enkidu, as we know from the Epic of Gilgamesh, represents the wild fabric of our kind. We believe that we all shaped ourselves to counter-cross our natural boundaries for thousands of years. We pushed ourselves and even our archetypes to become ‘more’. But in fact, what we should achieve is the acceptance of our desperate need for balance. Inside and out, rather than pushing and punishing. And as an expressive part of this story, we embraced no one but Herodot, the archaic storyteller of the Mediterranean lands, who once said that the worst thing in the world is to be full of wonderful thoughts and not being able to express them.

" What we are trapped inside is the neglectance of our monoliths; those which connect us to our roots, emotions and essence. This EP is a remembrance of this essence of life and stories, which we humbly dared to speak of. "

We met @luimafuta thanks to our friends from @downvienna at a wild party at Fluc in Vienna in 2019 . We spend some nice days together and feel in love with his live set. When Jonas aka @KlangDruide then send us " A Spoon full of honey" as release proposal earlier this year, we directly had to think of Lui and knew this would be a great match. Lui took his friend Puste along with his trumpet and out came this beauty of a track. Due to Corona we could not enjoy their live performance at Klunkerkranich last Saturday the 14.03, but we hope the song puts a smile on your face where ever you are right now.
