The winter's almost gone and Luettje Luise's Mama comes out of hibernation. With a new playground at home, it will take a talented hand to prepare for the upcoming spring. Along comes @Nutia, sowing his seeds of ‘Raounuor’.

‘Fischbahn’ (A1) is a decent wake up call for the early birds facing their way back north to the deep woods of ‘Schweden’ (A2). Here, Nutia serenades those old inhabitants with a rattling melody, and sends them on their way with heads still light. ‘Em Pessoa’ (B1) tinkles on the flipside: a lullaby of constant perpetuation, which echoes its way through the mesmerising labyrinth of trees and bushes, only to be heard by the lonesome @Deer (B2), who answers with the most gentle mating call these woods have ever heard.

‘From Outside’ (Digital) the vinyl some unknown voices fly in. One might call them electronic - whatever that could be.

Beat & Path have spent two years nurturing talent, throwing their weight behind albums from @sanoimusik and The Oddness and tracking Uone and Western's treks into gold-rush territory. But it's been 28 months since their last VA release, and Camp Out 001 provides the variety that was set up in 2020's Winter Sampler.

There's an eclectic range of tempos and romp factor here; this compilation being as much about dancing under trees as lying in a fireside cuddle puddle while someone plays amateur astronomer. Alongside the big Beat & Path names, there's also a healthy recognition of bubbling talent.

The ascent on this journey is a gentle one – Sanoi (Jonas Fischer) and Zuke (Ed Zuccollo) lay out a shimmering low-tempo rework of ‘Through the Trees', with an Acid Pauli swagger on the lows. Nikita 雅涵 Tu-Bryant sets a sylvan tone for the release (‘through the trees I see, I breathe…'), something that Sanoi and Zuke expertly accentuate with high granular shimmers, conjuring stars between pine needles.

In late 2015, Luca’s debut “Situations” first saw the light of day on Feines Tier. The EP was a whimsical fusion of his Hip-Hop roots with electric rhythms and mesmerizing boogie. Now, with his forthcoming third solo record “Proper Preaching”, he comes full circle.

Musto returns with a blend of handmade instrumental sound by his fellow musicians and that special dash of his notorious intricate groove. 
The record takes the listeners on a spiritual ride of revelations and hidden messages. Simultaneously, the four tracks deal with philosophical issues by telling stories of morality in “Lucy’s Intension,” the ambitions in “State of Grind” and “Lie To Me,” and finally faith in “Proper Preaching.”

All of this is merged together by the use of samples as well as Luca’s own recordings of words and atmospheres. Finally, the bigger picture is revealed, fueled by the eloquent subtext and the memory of the ones he lost.
