Granules is an exploration of naturally granular sounds such as boiling water, crinkling plastic bags, rain stick, ratchet, and wicker shaker.  This is a stereo binaural reduction of the original 7.1 spatialization.

Ablation is a piece for percussion quintet and electronics written for Ball State’s Percussion Ensemble I.  Transducers are placed on the back of the tam-tams which have chains draped across the front, so that when the transducers play a sound, they vibrate the tam-tams which then cause the chains to vibrate.   
Ablation is defined as the removal of material from the surface of an object by an erosive process.  The erosive element of the piece is represented by small chains draped across different instruments that rattle when the instrument is played.  These rattling textures are present throughout the entire piece in various forms.  To represent the material coating and the ablative process, the piece begins with metallic timbres, and, as the piece progresses, the metallic timbres gradually erode into wooden textures.

Moments is a piece built from separate sections of audio that are ordered to create an overall moment form. Each of the 21 moments, played exactly once, will be randomly reordered and triggered for each performance by way of the almighty Max/msp.  There are three versions, choose one randomly to listen to.
